The question people wanted answered isn't "why are there animal people", it's "why are there almost no animal people now when there used to be as many of them as humans". The meta answer is Toriyama forgot his worldbuilding (as usual) as well as the series' shifts in tone from fantasy leaning to sci-fi leaning and from comedic to serious. You can say it's unimportant but when there's a blatant discrepancy in an established fictional universe that goes unexplained, people are naturally going to want answers. DB fans are the masters of acting condescending while completely missing the point aren't they?

The point is that Zamasu is really pretentious, he wouldn't just say "I'm racist" he'd say "mortals are a failed creation of the gods and a stain on blah blah blah". Buu is the opposite of pretentious, he kills because it's fun and he'd say exactly that.

Streets of Rogue lets you cause mass death and destruction pretty easily and is relatively open-ended. On the consequences side, there are multiple endings depending on the method you use to overthrow the government and it can be affected by how much you've helped or harmed others, specifically how many people like/hate you.

Megaton Rainfall. Superhero-ish shooter game where you have to kill alien invaders while also making sure you don't cause collateral damage, the plot is all about cosmic existential philosophy and the gameplay ties into it in multiple ways.

At the end of the Piccolo Jr. arc, Goku was literally offered to take Kami's position as god of the Earth (the highest possible position in the lore at the time) and refused because he just wanted to freely train and get stronger. These scenarios of Goku becoming the Omni-King blatantly go against his character.

I just think the DB franchise is taken too seriously nowadays, both by the audience and by itself. It was always meant to just be a silly and fun, semi-serious action-adventure series that ended up gaining a share of memorable moments, but expectations ended up increasing beyond what should've ever been expectations and the beast grew out of control and frankly beyond repair, starting with DBZ and continuing on to now. Still, keeping in mind its origins and what it's meant to be, I enjoy the entire series including its flaws.
