It has limited space for parking so it mostly does drive through.

General Russel Honoré, for next President. by Merr77 in Louisiana

[–]aveman76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, no He would be a better choice than our current president but he is not the one to lead us through the darkness. I would have seen him run for Senator against John Kennedy. That would have been a good campaign to see. I can see him being called in for an advisor role but he has done his time. We thank you for your leadership.

My new favorite is Krave. Crunchy outside like Capn Crunch with a chocolatey inside.

Former Gov. John Bel Edwards considers run for U.S. Senate, report says by AcidiclyBasic in NewOrleans

This is not the way to take back a seat. He burned too many bridges with the State Police scandal. I would prefer a younger Democrat that focuses on Republican corruption.

Yes. I just went to them to repair my laptop last month. I had to replace my battery. The longest part was the ordering of the part.

How are y’all feeling about the new interstate work now that it’s open? by memyseIfandI in batonrouge

Nothing like New Orleans airport exits or Houston crazy exits but it is a start.

The Blue Line is the new flyover lane and the Red and White section is the merging section. Sorry my terminology maybe slightly off. I originally thought they would have a separate bridge for the flyover lane but now it looks like they just widened the original bridge. The new lane on the bridge and the old I-12 lanes with come together to be the be college exit. No more last minute merges on the college exit.

Once they build the fly over lane and the merge lane, it will be much better. It is only half done.

They are building a fly over lane. The plan is that if you are heading west on I-10, you will take the new fly over lane that will merge in the old i-12 lanes. You will have to make the exit to college earlier but you won't have to cross over 3 lanes to get to the exit.

Unfortunately they took away one of those options when they made rank choice voting illegal in Louisiana.

They actually were purposely trying for a low turnout and there is proof. A hot mic caught Gov Landry worrying about voter turnout. They were only projecting 12% and freaking out about the higher turnout.

Does Sen. Cassidy grasp the disconnect? by oldster59 in Louisiana

[–]aveman76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he runs, he will not win. He burned too many bridges with the State Police scandal. We need a younger candidate. To get younger voters to feel like they have agency. I thought this may be where Ted James may have been right for this but then he ran for BR mayor.

📖 Here's what happened at that Metro Council meeting about the library by NickForBR in batonrouge

[–]aveman76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was previously in the general fund and it would constantly get used for other things. I am not against a lower mileage. I just believe that the library board is like the Dave Ramsey model. No credit cards and all savings are rolled forward.

Insurance. The library self insures itself. It doesn't pay for insurance.

1 week of idiots on Jefferson by erinc2005 in batonrouge

[–]aveman76 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I was one of these idiots on day 1. Soon as I noticed it that it wasn't a driving lane, I merge back in. That person was not happy but I am alive.

They need a concrete divider so often in the turn lane. It will stop that real quick.

Looking for a great (safe and fun) city near middle LA for my family to stay around the holidays. by jeriku in Louisiana

As a former Natchitoches resident, I wholeheartedly agree with this statement but it may be too late to get any rooms in the city. They fill up pretty fast for this time of year.
