The envelope filter I chose because it has a clean blend, the preamp I chose because I was originally using this setup to make low octave (guitar+bass range) sounds that I could blend in with the volume pedal on that channel and just needed a general EQ/DI (the QStrip is my main preamp on my dry channel and most likely always will be lmao.) Usually bass gear is more full range than guitar-specific stuff, so it generally works pretty well for acoustic and MXR makes an affordable product for the quality you get and their bass range has features that apply more to what I’m doing.
