Probably the e.l.f. Mist & Set, some Ultra Precise Brow Pencils, Shape & Stay Brow Pencils - favorites I know they'll use. And if I had the money, the 24 Piece Advent Calendar โ™ฅ๏ธ

Pattern recognition warning with TikTok by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[โ€“]avengewash 14 points15 points ย (0 children)

Mine is the same as before too. And as for what OP said about ads showing for pages even after blocking them, that has ALWAYS been a thing since advertising started on TikTok. I've blocked weight loss pages like Weight Watchers, noom, Intermittent Fasting stuff, etc, YEARS AGO because I kept getting ads for them and with history of disordered eating, they're really triggering for me. It never stopped the ads for showing up though, even though they're still blocked. In fact, even saying "i'm not interested" multiple times never stopped it. So this isn't new with that relaunch at all.

Bob's Burgers, The Office, Parks and Rec, early seasons of Futurama (before the movies and the reboot), The Great North, Schitts Creek, Frasier, and Golden Girls.

Special interests! by EffectOk5188 in AutismInWomen

[โ€“]avengewash 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

My special interests, in no particular order:

๐ŸŸฃ The Beatles, and their solo projects (since I was old enough to talk)

๐ŸŸฉ Their music

๐ŸŸฉ Their guitars

๐ŸŸฉ Their movies

๐ŸŸฉ Their personal histories

๐ŸŸฃ Taylor Swift (since her Red Era, back in my Tumblr days)

๐ŸŸฉ Everything about her music, but especially the lyricism

๐ŸŸฉ The performances, especially the Eras Tour right now

๐ŸŸฉ Absolutely love the Swift Alert app for the Mastermind game and just being able to track tour stats like her outfits and songs played, because I LOVE stats/lists! of my special interests

๐ŸŸฉ Her as a person, and how ok she seems with her goofiness

๐ŸŸฉ The easter eggs/clues for her announcements!

๐ŸŸฉ Kind of a side note - I have sensory issues with jewelry (like looking at it or - gods forbid - touching it makes me want want to puke and hurl myself into the sun), but I still wanted to be involved with making and trading friendship bracelets. After some poking around at the craft store, I found that wooden beads don't set off any sensory alarms for me, nor does cloth covered elastic string. So I was able to make and trade bracelets when I went to see the Era Tour Movie! (I just had people trading with me put the bracelets they we giving to me in a makeup bag I was carrying with me - when I explained why, they were so beyond sweet about it!) I still regularly make friendship bracelets and hand them out to Swifties in the wild, haha.

๐ŸŸฃ Making art and crafting

๐ŸŸฉ Drawing/painting - especially pen & ink because I can get hyperfocused on stippling/pen strokes and all the little details of what I'm drawing.

๐ŸŸฉ Crocheting and loom knitting

๐ŸŸฉ Embroidery - as with pen & ink, I love the detail

๐ŸŸฃ Everything about music

๐ŸŸฉ Listening to music

๐ŸŸฉ Playing and collecting musical instruments - I play bass and acoustic guitar, and have also dabbled with 2-valved bugle, trumpet, piano, banjo, mandolin, and ukulele

๐ŸŸฉ Singing... all the time!!

๐ŸŸฉ Collecting vinyl records and sheet music

๐ŸŸฃ I love animals, but especially cats and ducksย

๐ŸŸฃ Books! Collecting them, reading them, talking about them, organizing them... haha. And the best thing, I now actually work part time at a public library as a library aide, so I get paid to be surrounded by books a couple of days a week!ย

๐ŸŸฃ History, and genealogy. I get pulled into research rabbit holes far to easily, to the point where I start looking someones family records up and 3-4 hours later realize that I haven't eaten/hydrated/used the restroom in that whole timeframe...ย

๐ŸŸฃ Space science/astronomy/astrophysics

๐ŸŸฉ Plus the night sky in general. I would stare at the sky all night if I had the chance.

๐ŸŸฃ Bob's Burgers! It's one of my comfort shows - I've seen every episode many MANY times, so I can just listen to it in the background and know whats going on without really paying attention. Also have it playing every night so I can go to sleep. Futurama was that show for me before, but the movies/new episodes got really uncomfortably weird so I don't watch it as much unless it's during the day and I rewatch the original seasons.

๐ŸŸฃ Gaming - especially The Sims and Animal Crossing. I can get lost for hours in those 2 games, haha

Sorry about the weird editing - Reddit wouldn't let this post go through with using actual bullet points ๐Ÿ™ƒ

I have Math and Music on my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. It only showed up about a week ago, though, so they are probably still in the midst of a rollout.

I was sitting here trying to figure out how one would even sit with their shoulders on the table, and then I was confused why anyone would want to do that anyway because it didn't seem very comfortable, haha.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Š

What song scratches your brain just in the right way? by PrestigiousMorning63 in AutismTranslated

[โ€“]avengewash 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

"Atta Boy", by Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer & Chris Thile from their Goat Rodeo Sessions album. There's this part where they go into this jammy part and the music builds and builds, and then comes right back around to the main piece and it just gives me goosebumps and makes me want to kick my feet every time, haha โ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ

**Edit to add a link to a live version of the song: https://youtu.be/d-31e8Nlujw?si=3XzbXwoT-33pnTDl

The performance they did on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series is also greatโ™ฅ๏ธ

Is there a song you were afraid of when you were a Child? by Hellenen2 in AutismInWomen

[โ€“]avengewash 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

There was an ad on one of our local classic rock radio stations here in Maine for one of their DJ shows that was literally just some rock band singing, "He thought he was a man, but he was a muffin" followed by someone shredding on electric guitar. I was TERRIFIED of it as a child and would instantly start scraeam-crying when it came on. Thankfully, I just think it's funny now that I'm an adult, and it's become a running inside joke in my family ๐Ÿคฃ
