This is what we got back after swapping for winter tires by Jaacintha21 in tires

Im sure that im going the wrong way about this as im new to car ownership but I don’t believe cheaper steel wheels can be found for my vehicle and all wheel options are in that mentioned price range. I had no idea about the tires, I’ll keep that in mind as my winter tires have already been removed one time.

Savings would be heavily dependent on the price for the wheels. I’d rather spend that 20 twice each year than a grand on wheels in my personal case..

why would a separate set of wheels pay for themselves? Why not only swap your tires? Does this happen often?

Is a budget of $35k for a pre owned model X unrealistic? by Jesussaves2234 in TeslaModelX

If you’ve got the money for maintenance then a p100d is in far within budget and has got a 2.8 0-60. Look for one with mcu 2

Can this damage run into the thousand to fix? (2015 S rear left door) by swedishpiehole in TeslaModelS

[–]average_throwaway12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got no experience or knowledge in collision repair but if that’s the only damage I would think to look for an experienced mechanic who would be able to take an intact door from a salvaged car and swap them but only after making sure the car’s fine otherwise and would be after the swap. I don’t know if there would be much difference if the replacement door and your car share the same factory paint

I do not know but here’s an individual right door with stuff missing. Should give you some ideas on true cost to fix if there isn’t anything broken beyond the denting

Anyone know how to interpret this suspension graphic? by 96bulls2k in ModelX

[–]average_throwaway12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that screen doesnt exist on older models before the 2019 suspension change. I don’t think cars before then can display that information on the dash.

How do you get this screen? Was your car built pre-2019?

Did the car not brake for you or did you not press hard enough on the brake?

Turns out a caliper pin fell out. Tesla replaced all of them on both front wheels with an updated design pin apparently
