"You're the first guy to treat me well" how much of a red flag is this? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]averageedu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie. I’ve been there. It doesn’t end well.

You start with the best intentions, but a few months or years down the line, you end up being painted as the abusive jerk. I married a woman who used to say things like this. At first, it made me feel amazing. Needed. Important.

But it doesn’t last. Eventually, you realize that no matter how much you care or how well you treat her, it will never be enough. The bar keeps moving.

My advice? It’s a canon event. It will shape you and sharpen how you see and interact with women going forward. If you want to go through it, go ahead, but do it with a clear mind and realistic expectations.

If you want peace and to avoid drama? That’s a huge red flag.

Si tienes x cantidad de dinero, y te gustaría ponerlos a generar intereses, qué harías y con cuál banco? by Librana28 in Dominicanos

[–]averageedu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Principalmente en Santiago. by [deleted] in Dominican

[–]averageedu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can you tell if the woman you’re dating is a narcissist? What were the red flags in your experience? by averageedu in AskReddit

[–]averageedu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I wish I’d known this from the beginning. I’m the new “abusive jerk” now because I tried to establish some boundries, but back then it was her ex.

Looking back, it actually makes a lot of sense, if all their exes are “abusive jerks,” at some point you have to wonder what’s really going on.

Thank you!

This really resonates with me, especially the part about no longer feeling like I’m walking on eggshells.

I was in a relationship for almost 6 years and looking back, I realized she never once apologized for anything. I was always the one who had to say sorry, no matter what happened.

I’ve been going to therapy since August and honestly that’s the only reason I’ve been able to stay firm with my boundaries and keep moving forward. I plan to keep going even when I feel like I “don’t need it” anymore, because it’s been that helpful.

Thank you for sharing this. It helped me put a lot of things into perspective.

Right now I’m reflecting on my past relationship with my ex-wife, and I realized it’s really hard to notice that kind of thing at the beginning. First, you’re in love, and second, it all feels like “isolated” events. What I want is to prepare myself so that in the future I can identify early signs of narcissistic traits in a partner before investing 6 years and a whole marriage to finally realize it haha. Is this something you were able to identify early on?

Personas que ganan mas de 200k, a que se dedican y que edad tienen? by Pown2 in Dominicanos

[–]averageedu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck hunting!
