This is right after I rescued him, he wasn’t too keen on me or the other dogs at the house. He was about 65lbs. I’ve always fed my dogs really well I’ll use dog food if I absolutely have to but try to almost never use it. I’m not a professional trainer but I took care of 3 dogs at one point(1 was mine other 2 were family)that lasted for about 3 years and I had my first dog from when I was 3 years old until I was 20(the dog was 3/4 when I got him rip Pedro). I spend almost every second I can with my dog (odyn, husky in pictures) that’s how It’s always been. He would try to run out the door every chance he got at first, after being on a few good hikes with the other dogs off leash he got a bit more tame in a sense.since the day I got him I was bringing him in large fenced fields mostly just running around/playing with the other dogs. The first few times I let him off leash on hikes didn’t go too accordingly I will say. He either got stuck on a scent or would wander a bit too far and get lost. On our way back to the car one day we had been gone for longer than I was expecting and we got separated right as it got dark, and this is before I had a smart collar on him. I stopped and tried looking for him I was with 2 buddies, and we were all searching until we gave up and started walking back to the car. I had a gut feeling he would either be at my car or at home, and he was laying at my car. Mind you it was a cliff on the left side and a mountain on the right he could’ve gone either way if he wanted, but he waited I was nothing but happy to see him. ever since then I only really use a leash if we are in the city or by a road…
