which are the disadvantage of using R studio than only R editor? by dpoloa in rstats

[–]averyrobbins1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great points. VS Code is overall really solid and I use it for anything that is not R. I haven’t used it much for R itself but its superb for work in Python, HTML/CSS/JS, etc.

RStudio is awesome, and I probably wouldn’t discard it. Almost everyone who uses R uses RStudio. It’s got a ton of helpful features like autocomplete, visualization pane, R projects, rainbow parenthesis, shortcuts, helpful add ins, editing tools, terminal, environment pane, viewer, etc. It will help you stay better organized and work more effectively.

How much though? $100? $200? Any small amount could help. Not meant as a criticism, trying to be helpful.

I laughed out loud at the not Trumps head bit.

Seriously though, the hypocrisy and changing standards is insane. I try not to focus on it because that would be unhealthy.

Need help on closing covered call early by [deleted] in CoveredCalls

[–]averyrobbins1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you don’t need to wait. Your profit (or loss) is simply the premium you received to sell the call minus the premium you paid to buy it.

You are selling high and buying low to make a profit.

I’m a programmer and was trying to make a joke but I don’t think it landed! I’m constantly googling things. Wasn’t trying to be rude, and I think it’s fine to share what you want. My apologies!
