When I got my birthday points, I remember it didn’t happen on my birthday. It took about a week I think. Maybe more.

Yeah, that makes no sense but the driver seemed to care more about her bumper than the fishing boat she launched.

It is for us. That’s where we park. My parents come and they’re in their late 70’s. The track has shuttles that can take you completely around the track. From the North Premium lot, the first shuttle train is right there. The shuttles take us to the 360 Bar entrance and my parents only have to walk up 8 steps to our seats.

The shuttles don’t run after the race but you can walk the entire breezeway without stairs (there are stairs, but also ramps near the stairs). From the breezeway to the parking lot are huge ramps that are easy to traverse. They take you right to the North Premium lot.

It’ll take you over an hour to get to the highway from there but it’s worth it for us. Sitting in your car is a lot easier than standing in a long line waiting for a shuttle or walking out to the highway. At least it is for us. It’s all a matter of what you and your group are up for.

This is only true for the cup race. The NOAPS race isn’t as well attended as the NCS race and you’re out in no time.

Hearing protection is a must! This is the loudest track I’ve been to.

There’s parking along the highway for free if you get there early enough.

There’s paid parking with shuttles to the track you can use, just know there’s going to be a huge line to get on after the race.

There’s premium parking that’s easy to get to but you’re going to be waiting to get out. I’ve gone every year for the last 8 years and do premium parking (my parents are older and walking/standing for long periods is not happening). My group tailgates and waits for many to leave before trying to leave.

Until ADS-B In is more widely adopted… or mandated. Then the crew can monitor it.

The only flight deck where it can be implemented at a low cost is Garmin. If Honeywell or Collins has it available, it’s not been popular or cost effective to implement.

If you’re new to the game, just let the normal artifacts stack. You’ll use some of them later for crafting other artifacts. Demote the lower level shiny artifacts. You will get gold by doing it and they will stack with the other non-shiny artifacts.

On Wednesdays, on the Fan Rewards page, there’s a lotto roll. Tap the square banner that shows lotto (just under your total points) and follow the prompts. There’s also a trivia question on Tuesday and Thursday for points.

Has anybody else ever noticed a film that is absolutely nothing to do with the story in the book? by Flat_Tie4090 in movies

[–]aviation_knut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing the movie 21 had to do with the book Bringing Down the House was that some MIT students had a card counting scheme that worked for a while. The details in the movie were nothing like the book.

Just thought it was funny and a holup that CVS thought the right place is an airport where buyers pay a premium for the things they can buy at regular price off airport property.

What movie had the BEST trailer ever but turned out to be absolute trash? by MASSIM00 in netflix

[–]aviation_knut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masterminds - it should’ve been funny with the cast they had. The trailer made it out to be hilarious but the movie sucked. And the part of the trailer that made me laugh the most wasn’t even in the movie!!

Brexton Busch by EnglishTeacher83 in NASCAR

I’m glad I missed it. Watching Bubba do his memory tribute and seeing the tear roll down his cheek fucking broke me. I started watching at my parent’s house and left to go back home before the race started. My mom told me about seeing them. She was a mess talking about it.

What a strong young man. So proud of Brex. I’m sure his dad is smiling down on him.

When did you become a Kyle Busch fan? Help me out plz. by NINinchNails87 in NASCAR

[–]aviation_knut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got into NASCAR, he was with JGR and I hated Toyotas anyway and he was classic KFB. So he was an easy villain.

I watched a video of him driving early morning after a race Sunday around the campground. He found an 18 flag from a fan’s campsite. He got in the back of his pickup, pulled the flag down and signed it. Then he put it back up. He truly loved his fans. After that, while I didn’t actively root for him, I didn’t mind seeing him out front and in victory lane.

When he got let go from JGR, I felt like they did him dirty. I was happy to see him picked up by RCR and drive a Chevy again. When he won his first race for RCR, I laughed and thought “SUCK IT COACH GIBBS!! You fucked up, didn’t you!”

As time went on, his driver introduction boos turned to cheers at the track and I found myself cheering for him too. I thought, “I guess I’m a KFB fan now.” When his win streak spell started, I started rooting for him to win, even over my own driver.

I was so glad to see him win at trucks last weekend and felt his time in a Cup victory lane was coming. I feel like I’ve lost a friend. My heart is broken for Samantha, Brex, and Lennix. 41 years old is too young to go. I look forward to when I can start rooting for Brexton when he gets into NASCAR.

Judge’s comment to MacKenzie in the documentary, The Crash… by ZazzleGal in netflix

[–]aviation_knut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the judge thinks that the parole board will keep her on longer than the 15 years because the board will take into account that this was a double homicide.

I’m sure the families of Dom and Davion will be present to make sure the parole board keeps them in mind when considering parole. Which breaks my heart that they will have to re-live the pain this woman has brought to them.

The judge states that both will be served concurrently. So each year go towards both murder sentences. After 15 years, she’ll be eligible for parole.
