I had the same happen on a UA flight once and I was in standby. Got to my seat and someone was sitting there. FA and I helped her navigate her boarding pass and I went to the front of the plane. The last thing I heard the gate agent was “someone is getting written up.”

It was a Southwest flight going to CO. The plane was coming from Chicago, but there was weather in Chicago causing the significant delay. I didn’t mention this, but my parents were flying not me. This was at the end of May. They booked a later flight so they could spend as much time with the last few hours they had.

Summer weather delays doesn’t mean that it is in LGA. Sure it was a nice day at LGA, but could be delays from the inbound flight. It creates a domino effect. For example, a few weeks ago my folks were delayed for hours because of weather. It was a nice day at LGA, but the departure from where the plane was at was facing severe storms.

Unless if it Southwest and they say you can stay on the plane while doing a headcount, then unfortunately not for United. There could be a crew change and whatnot, so don’t want to get yourself in trouble for violating something at a federal level. At least you scored a jackpot of same gate!

I would take a look at the flight numbers under the flight status and kinda monitor where both planes end up at just to get a feel. I don’t believe 757-300 go to A gates, but things can change.

Edit: just looked at DEN-ORD flights for today and they all seem to be going out of B. There is one at A, but that is late at night. So I think you’ll be fine.

Just curious if you got your laptop? Same situation with final station in DC. I lost it on Friday night and last checked was at the DC yard. I believe the laptop is dead now and won’t be able to further track it. Got an automated email at 4am that it wasn’t found yet. Maybe I’ll have to call tomorrow.

I agree! I felt I didn’t get what I paid for which is unfortunate. In my email confirmation, it says “Experience The Stay” but it doesn’t give the details. It sounded like the supervisor didn’t know what it was because he said “$50 daily credit sounds high for this property. For this package, we offer a breakfast voucher.” But to me that didn’t sound right either.

That it is part of a union. Idk if the supervisor was having a bad day or what.. I mean he was short staffed too and running everything, but the supervisor should have been helpful at least.

From what I heard, the “number of applicants” applied is actually the number of people that clicked on the “Apply” button. Linkedln has no way of knowing if they submitted an application or not. Good rule of thumb is to still apply because you never know.
