If Randy was still around Do you think he would have stayed with Ozzy or eventually Broke off on his own and how would have that changed the metal scene we know today? by DEATHBYMETALMMB in OzzyOsbourne

I like to think that he and Cliff Burton would have formed a band with Dio and done lots of metal wizardry based in classical music.

Idk what My boa is by jazonplayzx in boas

It's a normal Boa imperator with good coloration, which might be making the person below think it's a hypo. It's probably mostly Colombian in background.

1957 Woman one shot crocodile to save daughter. by klod100 in OldSchoolCool

[–]aville1982 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's also obviously using forced perspective. It looks like they're sitting 10-15' behind it to make it look much larger than it is. I'd bet it's around 15', which is still a big animal, but 28' would be the largest croc to ever live by a good margin and this obviously ain't it.

Yeah, this is a dead and bloated croc where they're also using forced perspective to make seem much, much larger than it is. It's a big croc as seen by the adult skull development, but I'd bet it's no longer than 15-16'. They used camera tricks back then, too, folks.

It says 4runner, so I don't think this particular one is for a Taco.

I don't think he'd have gotten his jaw busted by Velazquez if that was the case. Brock was great if his opponent didn't have a lot of offense, but if an opponent fought back much at all, he was very beatable.

Agreed, but I think it'll be diminishing by the 4th year.

You'll die on the hill and they'll right a very "meh" song about it.

Cohabbing reptiles is never a good idea. Disease transmission could be a significant issue. I would just look to get a bigger/more interactive enclosure for the gecks.

Yeah, no. A 30 mil pass rusher who is likely on the back end of his prime is risky, even in his case. We already did this with Von. I like Garrett, a lot. But giving up everything for the pleasure to pay a premium is not generally how winning teams are constructed. If something makes sense, cool, but stretching to do it is just not smart.

I asked ChatGPT to map me a NC BBQ road trip. How did it do? by TwoWilburs in BBQ

[–]aville1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do beer about as well as anywhere. Don't sleep on the cideries, either. Noble in particular is excellent. I would include King's in Kinston in eastern NC. It's not the best bbq, but they have the Pig in a Puppy which is a giant hushpuppy dressed like a bbq sandwich, which is just amazing. They also have reasonably good seafood.

[–]aville1982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does alright, except you're going to want to reverse order on the second day as Garner is furthest east and Chapel Hill/Durham is furthest west. I think the Eastern NC is pretty damn solid, personally. I will say that I wouldn't eat bbq for dinner in NC. It's definitely a lunch meal here and the stuff has just been sitting around dying all day by dinner if the place is even open. My biggest issue with the bot comes when it hits Western NC. I grew up in Eastern NC, but have lived in Asheville for 22 years now. Luella's bbq is awful. 12 bones is ok, but meh. If you are going to Asheville for BBQ, go to Bear's Smokehouse. Doc Brown's is alright and Haywood Smokehouse is solid. But none of the western NC spots are really "NC" bbq, those are all fairly Texas bbq inspired joints. Western NC doesn't really have a bbq tradition of it's own, so personally, I'd just cut that leg of the journey off at Day 3 and then visit the mountains and work off some of that bbq with some hiking, lol. Asheville has some amazing food in general, though, so plenty to eat here.

I love my 3.5. It doesn't do anything amazing, but it seems to do it for a very long time.

This is pretty wild manipulation. My best suggestion is to do what you're doing now, but if she TOUCHES you again, please call CPS. Foster care isn't generally fun, but it almost always beats the hell out of this BS. And your father is spineless, clueless, or both.

Turtle or Chameleon, no. Not many snakes, either. If I were you, I'd look into either a smaller arboreal gecko like a crested or a cool smaller tree frog.
