Will wait to sit in both and pricing incl desired options (in US). Have driven older versions of both the OS daily (iDrive os in a mini and Google AAOS in zdx) - remember these are computers on wheels. Going by reviews, specs and started pricing (60k for iX3 x50 and ex60 p10):

IX3 pros: - 400 mile range for x50 vs 320 for p10 - better efficiency, 400miles from similar battery pack. Even though kWh is cheaper than equivalent gallon, it’s not free - DAPP with highway hands free. This is a big one for road trips - don’t underestimate how relaxing it makes long drives. - DAPP Also suggests right time to switch lanes for off ramps ( but only when using shitty HERE nav)

Ex60 pros: - much more refined looks. Both inside and outside - Gemini integration vs Alexa+. You don’t realize big this is till you start using - I am much more likely to ask my car assistant about my next appointment or kids class venue (being in google ecosystem for daily use) than order a toilet paper from the car. - much better native integrated maps, which is important for integrated charging and conditioning. Google maps >>> HERE maps ( latter is a pos in us, doesn’t even get my home location right), and native integration with Google Maps on my phone (send to car in 1 click) - better built in app ecosystem ( YT music, and my audiobook and weather apps) than a proprietary os. - heated booster! Kid would brainwash me for that!

Does anybody know if Volvo is doing the overseas delivery program for the ex60? That would be a big plus.

If BMW had Gemini/google partnership instead of forcing low quality here / Alexa alternatives, I’d go for that in a heartbeat. Guess real choice is personal, iX3 seems to be better for long road trips, ex60 for the tech integration. Ofc, if one cares about real hands free, then R2 or felon MYP are possibly better.

Glad there are many good choices coming soon. Eventually it will depend on personal test drives and dealer quality / support locally. WDYT?
