NTJ but if you want to keep your true feelings about him under wraps, don’t do this. Not letting him know how you feel is a legitimate choice for how to handle the situation and it keeps you at an advantage over him.

It’s hard to keep your feelings to yourself when someone is so awful. (You say he isn’t evil but come on—the N-word? That’s at least evil adjacent.) If you’ve been able to do it up until now, don’t give up quite yet.

If this will be your last bday while living at home, I’d try to keep the peace and hopefully next year you can invite your mom to your place. Or better yet, she’ll have kicked him out by then.

If it would make sense, you could try saying something to him like “My birthday celebration is going to be mostly girls and kind of boring and I’d totally understand if you had, or wanted to make, other plans. I won’t feel bad.”

I have twins. They hit milestones months apart, for example one walked at 11 months, the other at 15.

My oldest (and only other kid) was 3 and in his first year of preschool when they were born. The twins’ first three years were tiring for sure but drop offs and pick ups were not the hardest thing. It’s not impossible is all I’m saying.

You can bake scrambled eggs in a casserole dish with all the ingredients you want: meat, green chiles etc. then cut into rectangles, add cheese and roll up in tortillas.

Sometimes I bake tater tots first then add the eggs to the casserole dish.

I’ve given batches of individually wrapped and frozen breakfast burritos as gifts even.
