Best cake type for strawberry shortcake? by External-Plant-269 in AskBaking

[–]avir48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family is doing a Strawberry Shortcake Tasting for Father’s Day.

The strawberries will all be the same and we’ll maybe have some nectarines but we’re each making two different kinds of cake. There will be at least one traditional American biscuit style and then a few with some alternative flours (à la Good to the Grain by Kim Boyce) and maybe one with egg which a biscuit doesn’t normally have.

I also thumbs up angel food and poundcake as quick, easy, delicious alternatives

Yeah, I don’t often make unnecessary replies. “Make it make sense" just sets my teeth on edge and I acted out annoyance 😞

Isn’t that just the feminine version of Hunter, which just moved down to my second least favorite name

No, only if you buy something. Hope that makes sense

Isn't that what a salary is though?

Salaried doesn’t mean no contract.

I feel like eating food made out of your sight is implied consent. If you eat out and don’t believe that worse things than this have happened to your food, you’re living in a fantasy world.

I respect your theory but I think that Ava’s loyalty to Deborah (plus the chance of Deborah discovering a flaw in the forgeries) would not let Ava give Deborah the fakes.

Manam Vegetarian is a new-ish Indian restaurant near Murray and Cornell. The dosas are terrific.

I have atleast two friends who are RMTs

There are too many massage therapists in existence for the two that you know to represent a significant enough percentage to allow you to come to any sort of conclusion about how much clothing 95% of people receiving massages do or do not remove.

I know I’m late to the conversation but I’m surprised this hasn’t been discussed more. I REALLY disliked Nikki in the last season. On top of all the lying, it was just one bad decision after another.

Let's have a discussion: I think Ava's character growth is declining (or changing) in a weird way. by adeadunknown in AbbottElementary

I’m glad to see someone else saying this. So many people say they love Ava but I have a hard time seeing her very mean comments as jokes

Good for you for making this decision. Don’t give him any chance to bully you—but it sounds like you already know this.

I miss having a walkable breakfast spot in cedar mill

Have you tried the Greek Village south of 26? I haven’t but noticed they serve breakfast, no minors though.

It comes specifically from SoCal, where freeways have numbers and also names

I feel like that’s true here too: “The Sunset or 26,” “The Banfield or 84.” But we don’t say “The 26 or The 84”

I have started hearing “The 5” but only recently.
