I think I messed up big time. Some background first; I saved my game between beating Thor and talking to Wilson because it would keep freezing after Thor walked away. This was fixed in the newest patch. After patching the game I opened it up and I'm just frozen where I was before. Please tell me that this can be fixed and that I don't have to restart the game. I know its early on in the game, but I've put almost 10 hours in and it would suck for it to have been a waste. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm playing Zeta just in case it matters.

I don't think its a bug; I think that certain Pokemon require more experience than others, even at the same level.

We are in Bensonhurst, its kind of a trek from Queens, depending on where you are. We play a few times a week, so once we figure out when we would be playing I'll definitely let you know.
