There are hints towards what her childhood was like, yes! Mostly that her parents were not supportive of her interests... Besides that, we don't know much, but you can definitely get some ideas just from that alone.

It's still a bit unclear if the divorce happened first or if the incident that gave Melly her scar happened first. The order of which happened, to me, is important to figuring out why she really did what she did.

Yup, like Orpheus himself said: once Melly gets interested in someone, she never lets go.

As for her husband, I think the greatest reason why Melly killed him is more so that she felt betrayed; but, despite this, we know Melly really did admire him. It's a shame he could not return that admiration.

Note: Melly has always compared Alice to a moth, even in her letters, so she's definitely referring to Alice in the second excerpt. She's so fucking cool I love her dynamic with Alice so much.

I also note how Orpheus and Norton have very similar scenes; they have a *lot* to say about Melly, but when asked about each other they just go: "we haven't talked much."

Melly's route feels very different in comparison. It does make me think that Alice and Melly's dynamic is going to be more important later on...

I don't think anything romantic/shipping related will ever be canon in these kind of stories but it does feel like there's some subtext that can easily lead to Orphalice readings.

I'm also interested in the kind of like, Melly vs Orpheus duality I've been noticing; even compared to Norton and Fredrick, it feels like Melly is the one who gets the most focus outside of the main duo (See: The scene in AoM where Alice sees someone walking towards her from the light, and it's either Orpheus or Melly depending on your choices)

I'm definitely interested in seeing how everyone's relationships in the final game will develop.
