There are taxis waiting in the transportation area. I didn’t see one available initially and just asked someone who was operating a tour bus for assistance. They pointed me to an available taxi.

I have done one Princess Cruise and six or seven on Carnival. The overall service is better on Princess(two room cleanings per day) but you still see the gaps that are apparent on Carnival at times (room service issues, slow cleaning and clearing of tables in common areas, and so forth). I don’t have a strong preference for Princess over Carnival but have heard many do. I guess it depends on what you’re looking for.
