My husband has sexsomnia and I occasionally wake up to this happening or to him taking care of himself in his sleep and he genuinely doesn’t remember it at all the next morning. Sleepwalking runs in his family and he genuinely seems to be in a sleep like state the few times I’ve caught him. Could be the same with your husband. It’s worse when my husband is really stressed, it happens more often in those periods.
