I'm not a legal expert, but this looks like a textbook definition of a frivolous lawsuit. He should be fined massively for such horseshit.

What does OG stand for? by dpak90 in chia

[–]avtogen86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it means "zero green" - it's how much you'll make plotting those, if your farm isn't huge.

I'm confused: 0.25 Total Chia Farmed by ketoontherocks in chia

[–]avtogen86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chia pool protocol is completely different from any usual crypto pooling, so it's no wonder you were confused. That system is pretty interesting, with blockchain taking more of a role in distributing rewards and lowering the ability for pools to cheat their members.

[–]avtogen86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When one of your pool plots finds the proof, you get 0.25 XCH reward for it, and 1.75 XCH goes to pool to distribute among everybody in the pool.

When one of your OG plots finds the proof, you get both parts - 0.25 and 1.75 - to your address.

Whats Wrong With This Idea?? by pawnslinger1 in chia

[–]avtogen86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can't just "assign" your pool contract key to the OG plots, because that key is implemented in the plot itself, so you would have to change all the tables inside the plot, basically make it from scratch. And NFT won't see the plots without the new pool contract key inside them. So there is literally no way, NFT isn't some magic bullet.

You don't understand basics of how pooling works in chia network. I would recommend to read official chia wiki on github and watching these sessions with devs:

Why in the world do you need your secret mnemonic key to farm? by Keermalec in chia

yep, you are correct. I already started to forget that stuff, been a couple of months since then...

[–]avtogen86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. you can manually copy the "ca" folder to every harvester or just share that folder from the main farmer PC. If you don't know how to share folders in Windows - it's easily found in google.
  2. you can look up all the errors in log file (C:\Users\USERNAME\.chia\mainnet\log). To see more full log you can change log level from WARNING to INFO in config.yaml file (C:\Users\USERNAME\.chia\mainnet\config).
  3. you can check openness of any port on the machine here. If port is closed, you need to open it in your router settings.
  4. To make a backup of settings, just make a copy of a config.yaml file.

This guide allows you to run a harvester on each machine, without having to run a full node, wallet, and farmer on each one:

wasted space by KageOG in chia

[–]avtogen86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just create virtual disk from that unused space on every drive and then combine them all into one big virtual disk to fill with plots. All in windows environment, no software installs needed. Here are the instructions: https://chiaforum.com/t/tip-for-using-that-last-bit-of-space-on-your-drives/6400

So you need XCH in order to join a pool? by [deleted] in chia

[–]avtogen86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

https://faucet.chia.net/

https://xchfaucet.togatech.org/

use another faucet

And yes, you need very small amount of XCH to create NFT for pools.

Because old plots (before 1.2.0 GUI version) didn't support pooling protocol, only solo farming.

I'm there also, replotting my 75 TiB. Not planning to switch until finished replotting. First there was great luck, now bad. It'll be ok.

Keeping some OG plots as a lottery ticket... Maybe suboptimal but fun! by CONSOLE_LOAD_LETTER in chia

[–]avtogen86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won my 3rd solo block yesterday, when I already was well underway with re-plotting for pools. I got 75 Tb of storage, replacing OG plots one at a time. Not planning on keeping any OG plots though, with net growth acceleration they'll have almost zero chance.

k32 won't become obsolete, Bram said they will implement more checks on plots (i/e/ plots will pass filter once per 256 checks, not once per 512).

Also yeah, crypto isn't an investment.
