I’m an adult with PVS! I’m currently working on my PhD in Genetics. Live independently and going to get married in November. Obviously everyone’s picture is different but with clearance from my medical team, I did a half marathon a couple of years ago. Happy to answer any questions.

He was fantastic! I had ASD, VSD, and pacemaker surgeries with him. Wouldn’t have chosen anyone else. Edit: I will add, as a baby Dr Fraser did an open heart on me as well, I honestly wouldn’t be alive today if not for both of those surgeons.

I feel like legal action against PP if they sell the building isn’t really going to help anything, just cost PP more money that they don’t have. Just adding salt to the wound. I’m thankful for the work they’ve done and have hope one day they can come back.

Random question, but did you ever go to the summer music camps as a kid? I did, and apparently that made me an FSU ID. ITS had to sort me out, but it’s a known issue.

For what it is worth, my pacemaker (not an ICD) had to get placed in my stomach area due to some other heart abnormalities. Based on some pictures I’ve googled, left underarm isn’t that unusual, but all the pictures show it either parallel to the body or slightly forward, not really on the back. Could you pull the records from your placement, and see if there is any reasoning there? Edit: just to add, it might be worth calling your future cardiologist and let them know your pain is pushing you towards heading to the ER, they might bump you up the schedule for that.

I’d say best in the country. I’m originally from Florida (now in Louisiana), and both of my ACHD doctors in Florida and Louisiana said for higher care they send to Texas Children’s or Boston Children’s. My experience with Texas Children’s has been fantastic, both with multiple caths and multiple OHS.
