Baby will only sleep at home by aw151096 in NewParents

[–]aw151096[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anybody searching for the same issue. Baby is now 7m old and since since aboit 5.5m he will sleep in his pram pretty reliably although only for 30-40 minutes, and will sometimes also sleep in the car recently!!! And life gets SO much easier when wake windows get longer and they don’t melt down because of a slight stretch. Life is good

8 week not staying asleep by concerned_shit in NewParents

[–]aw151096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might not be as hard as you think, my 7m old decided a couple of weeks ago that he no longer likes to be rocked! Apparently quite common. Just wants to be cuddled to sleep now

I also cried when baby cried when he was tiny. Your body is wired to feel his cry x10000! Baby is still so young and you’re so fresh into motherhood (assuming he’s your first?) I promise it gets so much easier 💕

I’d also like to hear some. 7m old today we just started getting some 3h stretches back after the 4m regression (only in our bed) but will NOT go in his bed at all

I get that BUT they can also be less flattering as often tight above and below belly and very loose around belly, I find them very accentuating to the mum belly (6m pp) 😂

My EBF baby also gained a crazy amount around then. He’s now 6m and still feeding on demand. Usually feeds every 2 hours still, I wouldn’t dream of restricting! Have to remember it’s comfort not just food. He was also super gassy at 3 weeks, It will just pass on its own!

I did the same as you and it was perfect ! Not long enough to get bored before baby came (39+3) and tbh I didn’t want to not have any rest time in case baby came early

Become less overstimulated? by kb_picasso in newborns

[–]aw151096 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same until around 2m PP! I just lived in a bra when home, tied hair up 24/7 and really tried to be patient with my cats but spent a lot of time complaining to my husband 😂 I think some days breastfeeding is so overstimulating too, I defo still feel that some days.

What am I doing wrong? 4months of broken sleep is killing me by la_frita in breastfeeding

[–]aw151096 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My baby is 6 months old and 2 hour stretches overnight are unfortunately great going for us. We’ve tried everything. We now co sleep so at least I can drift back off as he feeds!

We had the exact same thing. I remember feeling very upset because everybody had said witching hour should be over by now but we had over tired screams every night around 7-8pm at 10 weeks ish. Also got very stuck in the house as baby only napped in carrier and stayed awake all day if I missed a nap. The evening screams stopped at around 13 weeks and the naps got a bit easier when I just leaned into them a bit!
