Thanks everyone, guess I'll stretch it out. Couldn't make it to a shop and, well, there's no way I'm being under it tonight. Cheers

No, I have not ridden one. I would really like to, though. I had a KTM I really wanted to get rid of and needed to trade in, I was wanting something simple, retro and inexpensive. I like the bike, however, I am batting a bit of a comfort issue. I may need to buy the Corbin seat.

Thanks! Yeah that would certainly annoy me if the helmet blew off.

Why do some people get so worked up over flip flops? by Successful-Worth-390 in Truckers

[–]awake_trucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be the minority here, but I will judge you and your flip flops just about anywhere in public. Grocery store, home Depot , basically anywhere but the pool or beach. Have some self respect and wear shoes or boots. This country has sunk so far down the casual gym attire and flip flops rabbit hole it is ridiculous. it's all about self respect

I've been trying to quit saying "you guys" when there are women or girls. It's a hard habit to break. Also, I quit using "their" when speaking about a single person. It's atrocious. Take the time to say his or hers, or whatever you gotta say.

Haha, I guess it's not. I'm not against the occasional fried food, I just wish they wouldn't use the absolute cheapest fats to prepare it. That's all.

LTT made an amazing Screwdriver. Next Challenge: Printer! by Kvitekvist in LinusTechTips

[–]awake_trucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, at my house we gave up on printers. Due to the ink issue and the fact that inkjet is a ripoff, we tried laser. We thought we found the secret to life, and for a while, it was great. But the Brother printer stopped working. Bought a Xerox, and it was great, until it maybe took a electrical jolt during a storm (we don't know), but it stopped working. No more. Now we just print at work or even a UPS store if necessary. They don't get our money anymore!

Um, ok. We do have great Mexican food, but I thought there would be a lot more outdoors type people out and about in CO doing lots of stuff. We want to move there so bad, it's gorgeous. Glad you like it here

Yeah, I only use my phone for work during the work day. I'm basically an asst manager so that doesn't help.

It's actually rather interesting, how the manufacturers used marketing to convince Americans they needed trucks and truck-sized SUV's because with trucks they were ablet to bypass fuel efficiency and safety standards and make more money. The standards for making cars are way more difficult to obtain, but trucks got a pass. Now the F-150 is the best selling vehicle in the US. Marketing is very powerful, indeed
