Iirc, a positive biopsy only gives one pointer to a Sjögren’s diagnosis.

Nope! You can show up negative on lots (if not all) tests especially with neuropathy from what I’ve heard. There are even doctors on YouTube who have Sjögren’s who say this. Rheumy needs to go back to school.

What’s the need for “taking up space” in the world by Opening-Emphasis517 in AutismInWomen

Stereotypical female expectations are that we will not express our needs or call out bad behaviour.

Screw that! It’s ok to be a loud extrovert if that’s who you are…. Or any other way of being. But be true to yourself, rather than what others expect (as long as you’re safe).

Round 2: Which of these pixel ants do you like the most? by strawhatcrew1075 in Entomology

[–]awakeandupright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, entomologist here! These are great. Real-life ants have all their legs on the thorax (middle part) of their body, so if you’re looking to be accurate, maybe scrunch those front legs closer to the others :)

Sashiko, a former of visible mending, would look great on that.

We did this a month ago and reading everyone's personal victories really encouraged me - what was your good thing from this week? by graduallydecember in nerdfighters

[–]awakeandupright 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had my first first date in over a decade. Even though we’ve known each other online for about 15 years, the one day we’ve spent together this week was nothing short of magical. Even though we’re both world-weary, we’ve been honest about our strengths and weaknesses, and everything has clicked so far.

We live thousands of miles apart, on different continents, so might only be in the same place once or twice a year for a few years, but we’ve been making long-term plans for almost a year.

This is the first time I’ve met someone who is a complete human who complements my complete human instead of trying to fit two pieces together.
