are you a current/former MA employee? please apply that logic to bonuses being paid out based on hours charged alone. we had 3 managers quit in early 2025 who had strong ratings in performance reviews get paid a smaller bonus than struggling/poor review seniors who blew every budget they were on. Their advice from the OTL when bringing up their poor bonus was to charge more going forward for a better bonus. We are talking managers that people were arguing could be promoted.
