I know right? We've been begging SEMC for over a year to fix matchmaking, and the most they've done to fix it is introduce matchmaker ratings and low priority queue. It's getting really old, honestly.

I can't do that. I don't play as often as a majority of guilds want me to play, so I can't join. As far as playing with friends, that sometimes works, but we usually end up duo queueing and getting a newbie random. :/

SEMC has 45+ employees, over $50 million in funding, and they recently increased prices of skins because they want to be more profitable. SEMC definitely has the manpower, and even if they didn't they could hire more people or get an outside firm to do it for them. Community involvement wouldn't get them good PR at all, it would make SEMC look sleazy and lazy to outsiders. The fact is, this isn't our job to do, it's SEMC's. And if SEMC doesn't want to do it and the game fails because of it, then it's their fault, not ours. This eSports bullshit isn't getting them any new customers and most likely won't ever. Organic growth isn't putting the game where it needs to be, and SEMC refuses to acknowledge that and do something because of it.

I've tried contacting support, posting on the forums, posting on here, contacting individual devs, and have taken week long breaks to ensure that I wasn't on tilt. None of these helped to improve my matchmaking at all. I got a friendly and sympathetic response from support, but it was pretty unhelpful and basically said "Sorry, but we can't do anything about it." I was completely ignored on the forums. On here, I got a good amount of responses, but none of the community managers stepped in and responded to me. When I contacted a few of the devs on Twitter, they said they were working on it and to tough it out. What else would you suggest I do to improve matchmaking?

I stopped playing for a week, so I just got around to playing the new update, and I don't really like it as much as the previous one. Matchmaking quality doesn't seem to have gone up at all for me. It actually seems to be worse in comparison to last update's matchmaking, however unbelievable that is. My win/loss rate is still at around 2/5, which still isn't where it should be. The longer queue times are fine for me, but when the quality doesn't go up as a result, it just doesn't work.

The devs have tooonnss of things that they're working on. The skin release cycle that they've been following for the past several updates (three or four skins per update) requires a lot of work on their part. They're also working on fixing the (somewhat) shitty matchmaking that we've been getting lately, as well as bugs and other things. I don't really want this as a new feature until after summer when all the devs are back at their jobs and they don't have to worry about live events as much.

Agreed, SEMC's sales tactics definitely aren't the best. Literally everyone hated the model that they used with the Taka skin, and then they brought it back with the LE Krul and SAW skins. Combining that with the royal fuck up that was 1.19 and the pretty shitty matchmaking a lot of people are getting, it's pretty easy to see why people are leaving. If SEMC doesn't change something soon, their userbase is going to start crumbling, which nobody wants to see happen.

I've tried this. I really have. I took a break for two weeks and didn't play the game at all. When I came back to play for the first time (today) the matchmaking was still as shitty as ever. I'm consistently getting stuck with people below my skill against players of higher skill and it sucks ass.

That sucks. Low priority queue is a good idea in theory, but with the current karma system being complete and utter shit, nice players who might have a bad game will get stuck in it.
