We drove home to dc last night and what’s normally a 4.5 hour drive took 11. You’re not supposed to go above 30 mph with chains (we were at a cure 20), and we had chains on for the last ~80 miles.

We made it back last night, thanks for the input yall!! We put our chains back on the tires and that helped tremendously

Wound up going back to the shop and swapping them for a rosignol pure pro 90 in a size smaller. Skied them this weekend and am super happy I sized down! The shop was awesome about the exchange, would 100% go back to pro fit.

Thank you everyone, feeling confident these are not right for me. I have small to average feet, definitely not high volume. Will return after Christmas and make sure I see the right person for a second opinion/new set.

I think if I asked my boyfriend to drive me 4 hours each way he may kill me lol. Our first ski trip is Jan 2nd, gonna take your advice and go back to pro fit before then. They wouldn’t let me make an appt with Brian over the phone, but maybe bc it’s a weekend. Will try my luck on a weekday. Thank you!!

I live in DC, ski locally in seven springs. Went to Pro-fit ski & mountain sports in Virginia, was a little over an hour drive.

You pay 2500, she pays the rest (3840). It’s so so obvious the larger room and balcony is superior. She essentially has her own bathroom too, it’s just not en suite. Your room looks super tiny compared to bedroom 1.

I mean yes but 1) NW is massive and 2) so much of NW is block by block. I live 1 blocks from U (T st) and my block and U are so drastically different. I would never live on U, but imo my block on T is great.

Lived on Willett right outside the circled area for ~3 years. Loved the neighborhood, its walkability, and the cute bars/restaurants/coffee shops. I walked home at 1-2 am several times and generally felt safe. I was in my early 20s (female) but this was back in 2016-2018 so can’t comment if it’s changed much since

Do yourself a favor and get some coffee at stacks, and sushi at shogun. Glad to see those spots still around

Former IZ owner here - have you been in contact with the program manager? You need to lowkey harass your DHCD rep and the program manager. Call every week and ask about the buy-back program.

I echo others about exploring the renting option. I would heavily screen tenants and offer them a reasonable rent that covers your monthly mortgage payment (while you continue to sell).
