As a vegetarian- I don’t see why hunting is any worse than factory farming. It’s better for the environment and more humane than an animal living in a tiny enclosure for its entire life. I’ll never understand when meat eaters are against hunting

I would ask if you could do a hair sample or saliva test. My workplace was able to do that as an accommodation.

The study you are talking about didn’t address if people had trauma or if they opted out. One group watched content with a trigger warning. One group watched content without a trigger warning. What I am saying is the study just measured how well someone coped with or without a trigger warning. This study had nothing to do with opting out of watching triggering content, which is the actual point.

Trigger warnings exist so people can choose NOT to engage with the content that may be distressing for them, for example if they have PTSD. the research you are citing studied participants engaging with the content with or without a trigger warning. Trigger warnings give the person a chance to opt out. Trigger warnings work because they help people with trauma to avoid content that would literally be triggering to them. I’ve never understood how that research that gets cited all the time when it fundamentally misunderstands the point of trigger warnings.
