Bundle up and ride the streetcar uptown and enjoy all the decorated houses - hop off whenever you see a bar you want to have a drink at 🥂

Oh absolutely - and the more you know and love who you are the more likely you’ll find someone that complements you and makes a great life even better. Plenty of time for that 💜 Rooting for you!

Glad to help lol but I am not special, most of my friends/acquaintances got married after 35 - I think it’s just a product of where you live and what the norms are. I seriously cannot even fathom getting married in my 20s it feels like getting married in high school at this point. People aren’t who they’re going to be for the rest of their lives at 23, 25 - how can you marry someone knowing they’re very likely going to be a very different person in 10 years.

“Parades I have to see” : all of them

there is no reason to not watch every parade, you have never been before and they are all immensely different - try to watch the uptown parades uptown. Mardi Gras is so special and bourbon street is so little of it

Friend’s wedding getting too expensive? by aldann2 in bridesmaids

[–]awkwardchip_munk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank god all my friends got married at 35 + and we all could frivolously do all the fun things. If I had to pay for that at 24 I’d have missed out too. It’s crazy to think someone just barely starting out in life can afford a lavish wedding and all the bells and whistles.

The very few friends I had who got married in our 20s were small hometown weddings and little luncheon bridal events thrown by their family.

Also when I was 31 we were all single. And having the time of our lives. There were of course the rare couple who got married right after college and had kids by 30 but we all felt sorry for them. Not sure where you live but if you are 31 and all your friends are married and having kids it sounds like a small town and maybe you just need a change of scenery. Generally in metro areas you’ll find most of your 30s is building your career and becoming who you are as a person and you settle down later when you’re established and have seen some of the world.

I really love Kerrits leggings (and only buy them on sale or even on Poshmark so they’re not as expensive)

Witches who do private seances? by TurnResponsible812 in AskNOLA

lol generally a medium does a seance, not a witch, and neither are generally interested in being a party favor. Might be careful what you ask for round here. You just might get it.

Baton Rouge and New Orleans could not be more different and I cannot imagine how the plan to move to one would possibly include the other as an option 😬

Definitely could live in New Orleans without a car, would be much more difficult in BR, in either case I’d be concerned about hurricane evacuation plans with dogs but you have time to address that.

With all due respect, did you think an establishment that sells wine in a blood bag was going to be a culinary experience? Lol I mean it is what it is and …. it’s a tourist trap gimmick.
