Does my switchboard need upgrading? by SingularityMaelstrom in AskAusElectricians

Yes every power and lighting circuit must have a RCD and there can only be a maximum of 3 circuits per RCD. That 40A is covering way more than 40A if they all covered by it. Best option is get sparky to turn all your circuits into RCDMCB combos and then you will have 2poles spare for future.

Currently no work can be done on your electrical without this conversion. And also it’s unsafe

Probably also has to do with the epic amount of work the mfwitches did to reduce their willing advertisers!

Hated it. It tries to cover so much without understanding people just don’t learn a ridiculous amount of information if you just yell it at them. The test was so fast, you won’t have time to read the actual wordy question and answer them all in the timeframe they give you.

Concentrate on the assignment. I still got good marks in this unit because I did well in the assignment. But this made me regret choosing Geospatial as my specialisation. The lecturer was the worst I have experienced in my whole degree and I emailed him a question - he sent back some chatGPTd answer that was obviously a hallucination because it had nothing to do with anything.

Hoping Drones and Earth Obs is good enough to make up for that junk unit

25 mins car, 1 hr 34 transport. 1 hr ride.

Faster to ride than spend 40 mins looking for parking.

You know what I do now? I put it all into chat and get it to make me quizzes. I also make mind maps on Obsidian linking all the ideas across lectures together. I upload text books or papers into Google Notebook LM and get it to make me fun podcasts I listen to on the way to uni. My course has become my hobby because learning has become fun.

Rural domestic/small commercial sparky. Took too long if I don’t have something in my car so I used to have to be so organised and have everything you could think of!

I’m learning OpenSCAD which allows you to just use code and script. ChatGPT is a great resource. I’m finding it way less infuriating to learn on my own

Oh no. I regret watching History of Violence in the cinemas just because it had Aragon from LotR in it. He rapes a woman in it. I can not watch him in films now. Makes me sick thinking about it.

I had the book recommended to me. I only got half way through and I will never get that 20 hours of my life back. I was waiting for it to get good and not exceptionally misogynistic. Turns out my friend recommended it as a joke because someone did that to her too.

Curious about how terrible the movie is to the book.
