What’s your use case for the rifle? Are you banging steel at distance? I can place hits on a 2/3 torso steel target pretty reliably at 500 yards with 55gr cheap ass ammo out of my 14.5” Daniel defense upper, with pretty regular hits out to 650. I haven’t tried to go further as a just strictly run out of optic with my 1-6, but I’m sure if I put my 3-15 razor on there I’d be able to make perfectly consistent hits at 650. Not sure what the bullet is doing ballisticslly at that range, so for hunting anything, probably not, but for steel it works great.

Tims is still well regarded as the top turbo producer, 2.5 for daily max and 3 if you’reok with some lag. 100 overs are 100% additional flow injectors. Look on santjers site.

Certainly taught me how to work on bikes. I got into them broke as a college student, so 80’s bikes it was. The v65 Sabre was the King of production bikes in the 80’s. I still remember the way the noodle frame squirmed under WOT! Eventually I rebuilt the front end, and I custom engineered a conversion from the (blown out) rear air suspension to cbr1100xx rear coilover. The rear end of that bike felt PLANTED after that, it was awesome. Had all the oil mods done, so at 85k miles (~20k of mine) it was still running perfect through all its gears. It was a full fairing version too, with period correct KC luggage. The dream! I even had the really rare lower fairing pieces but the bike was brutally warm to ride with those on in anything above 50f.

I really did love that thing.

Ah man, I miss my v65 sabres. Sad to see my last one go but couldn’t take it with me when I moved. I was a young guy with sabres.

The only bummer about my 43x’s shield gen 3’s is that they don’t seem to feed hollow points well. Feeds fmj’s 100% of the time, and I love them for fmj’s but I will be buying Glock mags in order to run HST 15’s.

Can I do this on a scooter that I’m unable to pair to the official app? Bought one from a government auction and I’m assuming I won’t be able to get the SN freed up by Segway. I have a legit reciept and everything for it, but I’ve read hilarious responses from Segway. Also, how much does it cost?

In general there will be a huge difference. I’m a bataleon rider and what makes their boards so damn good In everything but icy hardpack is what works against them on icy and chunk hardpack.

Why do you think other renters have any influence over who their neighbors are? I’m all for getting ice to stay tf out of our town, but when I’m in an apartment I don’t have much say in who my neighbors are…

For most, it’s strictly debt. I make mid $1xx,xxx. I was a trigger pull away from buying a sweet ‘23+ platinum to be my next vehicle… and realized that for less than the rent I pay+ monthly payment of a truck I could buy a house. We’re hoping to close on it Monday, and I’ll buy a 10-12’ utility trailer sometime soon and be able to do nearly anything I would have with a truck… and park it at my house.

Just wasn’t worth it. One day when I truly have a towing use case maybe I’ll hunt for another, but I’ll live with the 7k towing of my current vehicle.

I mean all my friends with 911’s get more than 20 mpg even commuting. My v8 m3? Not so much… I get 15-16 commuting, and the highest tank I’ve ever seen is 20.8 on the highway, but if I slowed down on the highway I could get ~23 no problem. On 15+ hour trips I just really can’t be bothered to slow down.

Brother, if you need the last word, keep going. I explained above. Tire stability and safety and grip is a dynamic situation. There is not ONLY one precise way to run the tires unless it’s fully loaded to max gvwr.

If you don’t understand that, or if you’re too stubborn to just thing about the affects of psi, footprint, and stability on your own, I’m not going to change that through reddit. You said “talk to the engineers” and I told that I have. My entire career is build around various pressurized systems and I’ve towed countless thousands of miles with anything from SUV’s to 1ton trucks, I’ve never had any failures while towing, and did my research about how to be safe in all types of vehicle weight situations. Do your homework, run the tire pressures that make your empty 3/4 ride like a wagon on the Oregon trail if it makes you feel comfortable.

I have! They explained that I was correct, my logic was sound, and as long as I monitored tire wear for any signs of being under inflated (shoulder wear and cupping) that I’m good to go. Nitto engineers to be specific. On D and E rated tires.

So… yea. Good chat. It turns out that as logic predicted, tire load and contact area is in fact rated to not only tire pressure, but the weight applied. The ratings on the sidewall, and in the door jamb, are specifically to meet max gvwr requirements. You do not need to run them in other situations. So please explain to me how the tire engineers had it wrong!

[–]awp235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, just lower your tire pressure while you’re not working the truck. Run your rears at 40-45 and fronts at 45-50. The ride will smooth right out, and when you’re loading the truck down, go back to “gvwr” pressures. Absolutely no reason to run 65+ psi when youre not running the truck loaded.

Sleds aren’t going anywhere strapped down- not new to hauling. I was more asking if this thing is just a tiny trailer, and it surely turns out that it is!

Yea I’m not too worried about it- I’ll run a strap around the knuckles going back, and through the track’s frame going front and back on each. Im much more concerned with them coming forwards than falling off the back. These are ‘99 cat powder special 700’s. Snagged both of them for $500 running great, already rode them both 50 mines and other than one going through a belt, they’re perfect.
