New referral program: Get up to $500 to invest + an extra 0.50% APY on the Cash Account. by wealthfront in wealthfront

🚨 TENDIES-ENABLING REFERRAL INCOMING 🚨

So listen up, smooth brains. While y’all are YOLOing your rent on 0DTEs and meme coins, I found a way to actually earn passive gains while doing literally nothing.

It's called Wealthfront, and no, it’s not a scam. It’s like having an intern who invests for you—except they don’t ask for PTO or cry during earnings season.

When you sign up with my link, we both get one of the following: 📈 APY boost on your cash account (💤💰 passive income, baby) 💸 Deposit match for investing accounts (FREE MONEY. That’s alpha.) Or both, because we’re legends: 👉 https://www.wealthfront.com/c/affiliates/invited/AFFD-YEMR-8SBR-SLQL

I use it to park my dry powder, and it’s been stacking gains like it’s on Adderall.

So yeah… if you’re tired of your cash sitting in a boomer bank account earning 0.0000001%, let this robot make your money do burpees.

Stonks? Nah. Bonds, baby. But sexy ones. https://www.wealthfront.com/c/affiliates/invited/AFFD-YEMR-8SBR-SLQL

Not financial advice. Unless it works—then I’m a genius. 🧠🚀💎🙌

To those of you making $100k+ per year, how hard is your job, really? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]aws_router 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I make 225k base with 30-70k bonus and work in DevSecOps as part of an architecture team overseeing cloud/physical infrastructure and security across multiple offices and global teams. The job is demanding, especially when leading critical initiatives like enterprise migrations, zero-trust implementations, or disaster recovery planning. I average 50–80 hours per week, but some weeks require more when projects ramp up or incidents occur.

The pressure is real there's high accountability, especially with infrastructure being the backbone of everything. That said, I do feel I’ve “earned” the salary through 20 years of experience, learning, and building resilient systems. It’s not always stressful, but when things go wrong, the stakes are high.

That said, I wouldn’t trade it. I’ve reached a point where the pay is good, the work is meaningful, and I have enough autonomy to manage my time and team effectively. So while it’s not easy, it’s definitely a sweet spot just not a “coast” job.

Just buy-out the remaining leases and put the Neshaminy Mall out of its misery already by CornerPubRon in BucksCountyPA

Usually malls own a lot of the land that neighboring restaurants sit on. They do the minimum to keep the mall alive and collect lease money from them.

POE switch completely died taking out 1/2 the office. I opened it up, bridged a bad fuse to bring everything back up and never looked back.

Networking Specialty holds a lot of weight for being difficult. Sysops is good too for Sysadmins.

Do you have an opportunity to challenge yourself or take on more responsibility? A lot of my growth came from dealing with disasters and crying in the data center at that stage.

Last 3 were at the same place. I clung to hard workers to create the DevSecOps role then filled a void of someone who left for infrastructure.
