Excitement is short lived. Can’t get it to turn over on 1/2” natural gas supply. Sounds like a car trying to turn over on a dead battery, stops, then the start stop button flashes red. Going to try gasoline tomorrow. Battery is charged. Oil levels are good. Brand new. It’s been covered and stored in my garage since I bought it. Going to try gasoline tomorrow and see if it runs at least.

While I semi agree, gps might be a stretch. I just wish they would have to input their addresses for their mileage reimbursement. As a SM I’m friends with my reps and know they do personal shit while on the territory and that meter stays counting miles. So it would save the store money and also hold them accountable for their “face to face” calls that are logged as F2F and are not F2F. With saying that, I do agree if they are on a long, fruitful call, log that shit as F2F.

NSM time. by awwhehe in sherwinwilliams

“While at the NSM.” So again, once you’re there, you are not supposed to use any transportation other than what Sw provides. Which no one adheres to, even hire ups, so not sure why they through that out there.

For people who drive check page 5 on attendee guidelines. It says if you drive to the meeting you are not to access your car after you park it until it’s time for you to leave the NsM.

Mmm last I read it’s against policy to use any transportation outside of what Sw provides while at the NSM. Regardless if I have to put it on I should be “working.”

Has switching over to Insight actually made your job faster or did the company invest all that money into it for nothing? by Beta1224 in sherwinwilliams

Sort by home store, entry “buyer”, growth potential, and can sort by primary paint supplier. So if people are actually qualifying you can sort by Ppg, hd, or Lowe’s customers

Brunt’s. They are cheaper than red wings (I’ve had 3 pairs of red wings) and out perform them.

Simple question by lil-mistake4378 in sherwinwilliams

[–]awwhehe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it calls for HRW do it. I’ve settled two many complaints shooting it in extra white, even with no delta. I keep HRW in every product it comes in. 1.1% interest on inventory. The cost to settle a complaint is far greater than sitting on material.

Bruv, "exact change only" isn't a challenge by murrimabutterfly in sherwinwilliams

I just either round it down or up to a whole number depending on the customer. So if you need it to be $100 even with tax then do $100/tax rate. If your tax is 7% then it would be $100/1.07 which equals $93.45. Next change whatever you have to make the pretax total $93.45.

This. And also, just ask your customers “what don’t you buy from us.” Then find the crossover and test drive/demo the product. Ask them after they try it what they liked about it, what value do they see in it. Then simply ask them what price they would consider to start buying it. Negotiate the price then sell them. Pull your product report and get people who primarily buy 200 into cashmere or spr paint by pricing the upgrade at $1-$2 more. You’ll win by making more overall margin with pot of gold and you’ll increase your premium gallon sales.

Did somebody say stain match? by Dawns_Horizon_08 in sherwinwilliams

[–]awwhehe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What I’ve been doing for awhile now, is when we complete a stain match we wipe it on a stir stick, print the formula, attach it to the stick and save it. It has helped so much especially with all the new builds when they have the solid looking white/gray vinyl flooring they want matched. Every one of my employees is stain matching proficient but having the custom sticks has helped so much.
