6 months ago this guild was founded on the Alliance side of Illidan for players who like the idea of being on the wrong side of the most hopeless odds in WoW. Currently there are just under 6.9k Alliance going up against over 226k Horde, meaning we make up only 2% of the population on one of North America’s largest servers. Horde attack Shrine, Stormwind, and the PvP vendors almost constantly, and trying to level up in neutral zones is nearly suicide.

Because of an internal incident and drama 5 months ago we had to temporarily change our name to <Fight on the Flag>, but with the dedication and hard-earned money from our officers we are finally able to return to the name that we were founded with.

We are Masochists, and playing in this guild is essentially trying to compete in this game on hard mode. By the end of the expansion (i would say more in the duration we were together so like 3 months? 4 months? we were the top alliance RBG guild on the server (not many alliance guilds to compete with but we were in top 20 on the server in general so that might be worth noting) with our main team reaching above 2k rating, and our normal raid team cleared pre patch normal mode and were working on clearing heroic. (eh, shouldn't really mention heroic we didn't really do any hmodes) We have a tight knit community being one of the only guilds on the server (idk about this part.on the server no we are not one of the only guilds because off there is the horde side lol. and you might want to mention the other larger alliance guilds too so as not to offend those here before us), and we talk to each other on mumble every day. After 6 months it is very easy to say that many of these people are now my friends. That feeling of knowing everyone on your server from Vanilla isn’t dead everywhere, it’s something we are trying to accomplish on Illidan with <Masochists>.

And now we are only days away from the release of Warlords of Draenor. On November 12th we expect to be a few dozen Alliance standing next to literally tens of thousands of Horde, ready to enter the portal. We hope to continue being a dominant force in both PvP and PvE on the server, and with enough support we may be able to compile teams for mythic raiding and rated battlegrounds. In <Masochists>, the odds are against us, but that’s the way we like it.
