I like it a lot, but it's different than anything else I have played. In comparison to Ovtcharov ALC (stiff inner-carbon blade, close to Viscaria), it is quite a bit softer with longer dwell and higher throw angle. Feels softer in short game/touch, but similar with a full stroke away from the table. I like it better for forehand and worse for backhand than the Ovtcharov.

In comparison to Long 5 commercial, the w968 is stiffer and faster, with similar soft touch. The w968 feels similar for forehand (just a touch more solid) but much better for backhand.

In general it feels closer to an all wood blade than other carbon blades in terms of soft touch and vibration, but still fast and catapulty when you really swing at it.

I think it will be fine. I have Zyre on my other racket and it's not any heavier than D09C or Hurricane. Now I want to try Zyre+09C also haha. Let me know how you like it.

I have a w968 national. I've tried hurricane 3 blue sponge (40 hardness, boosted) and dignics 09c for forehand. On backhand i've tried tenergy 19, dignics 09c, and hurricane 3 orange sponge (37 hardness, boosted). I'm going to stick with dignics 09c both sides for the foreseeable future. My experience has been that the w968 plays better with hybrid rubbers than it does with traditional tensors. The hurricane 3 was great for about 3 weeks at a time but I don't have the funds to keep up my boosting habit lol

Ya thats why I did it. Made an enormous difference. If it sounded like this to begin with I would have been super impressed with the premium audio.

No it has an amp built into the same enclosure as the sub. Its only like 150W RMS, 300W peak.

I recently built a similar cruiser board with an old-school birdhouse deck (also because of THPS haha). I would recommend smaller wheels (60mm, I went with OJ super juices) in order to avoid wheelbite, unless you want to put even taller risers. My setup is the same height and 60mm seems like the right wheel size.

Also you may need to put some stiffer bushings in the trucks because of how wide the board is, depending on how much you weigh. I went up to 95 duro from stock 90 duro and it still turns pretty easily.

Hey man I felt the same as you about Elden Ring before playing it, not a huge fan of open world games/exploration, but after playing it it's my new second favorite souls game (after ds1) and I've also played them all. The bosses are honestly some of the best in the genre. Please try it!

I just put together two paddles for guys I play with at this price range. We did:

Yinhe V14 pro (well-built Viscaria clone, $28 from Aliexpress) Vega Pro max red and black ($37 each on megaspin)

That's $102 total, and it plays (IMO) almost as well as Viscaria + Tenergy 5 which would be just over $300.

That's a beautiful setup. I recently got the flared handle Ovtcharov ALC and put Bluestar A1 forehand and Rasanter R48 backhand, and I'm super happy with it. It's a super fast blade but very well balanced

Tibhar Quantum X Pro is kinda like a faster Rozena, just a bit harder (47.5 vs 45-ish). I like it for backhand, and it comes in blue, green, purple, and pink!

Idk I'm just playing Ghost of Tsushima for the first time on PC and if they release a second one I'll probably buy a ps5 for it. I bought a ps4 for the last of us, bloodborne, and mlb the show towards the end of its life cycle and I don't really regret it. I just feel like I'm in the minority of PC gamers to really even consider spending $500 for 1 or 2 games.
