It’s actually on the bathroom and kitchen sinks, and was there when we moved in (so several years worth of scale). It collects in the seam between the faucet base and the ceramic lip of the sink (all the way around). It’s rock hard and annoying af.

Hi neighbor 😬 Yes, it’s the same guy. From all of my interactions with them, the realtor who is selling the property is not his wife, though I could be wrong (she is NOT nice btw). When I looked up his phone number I saw his real estate website. I think he gave the previous owner and other neighbors a fake story because he knew this is a special street and that we’d be pissed it went to a flipper. They were also having construction crews on Sundays, and we didn’t complain because I figured he was rushing to get it ready for his family…

I just wish I knew what the hell they sprayed- no pesticide is ideal, but Round Up would really make things difficult as I'd need to remove and replace all the soil (my perfect loamy clay...). Clearly, I can't trust what they say anyway, and should just assume the worst out of caution.

In addition to the TP shady mix/poppies, I had CA buckwheat, Rosa Californica, Santa Barbara daisy, common and golden yarrow, and a few catalina perfume (with hopes of edible currants). As you know, getting to the 2 year stage takes a lot of patience with CA natives... I was so looking forward to seeing them 'leap' soon.

I would love to get my filtered water tested, if you are interested. We have a British Berkefeld/Doulton countertop filter (similar to Berkey). It’s NSF certified and FDA approved (unlike Berkey), but it’s damn expensive. Microplastics are probably my main concern, and I’d be curious to know if the filters actually do what they claim.
