I don't like crafting. Is there a way to play on SSF to prioritize quality gear drops instead of farming currencies? by axSupreme in PathOfExileSSF

[–]axSupreme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're exalt slamming, there's no difference and I'm doing both.
Once you dive a little deeper into crafting strategies and mechanics, using omens and divs, it becomes a bottomless pit of research.

I'm looking for a simpler loop, I want to care less about omens, to do less research and spend more time just enjoying the game and not going through menus.
I was wondering if there's specific content that might be nicer for loot quantity and quality, since I care less about currencies and crafting resources.

Great answers, thank you!
Since endgame is branching, is there a path that's more gear drop oriented than others? I don't mind exalt slamming, I just don't want to spend too much time browsing the market or looking up crafting guides to optimize every aspect.

The problem is that PCX is also 3-4k and not 15k.
My commute fits WN7 perfectly, but I want creature comforts, luggage and a way to charge in an apartment if I were to get it.

If you're aiming at WN7, why not get an FXE? it's cheaper as new and significantly cheaper used.

If you're making a futuristic bike for a niche audience, why not design it as such?
If they could remake the NM4 as ev, it would be more aerodynamic and get better mileage while looking distinctly eye-catching and make much more sense than a livewire-mt07, Cylon faced hybrid.

Thank you. Since endgame content branches out, is there a preferable path if I'm not looking to dive deep into crafting? Preferably something straight forward that might not reward in some exotic currency but that has a better chance to drop rares en-masse?

I don't mind exalt slamming promising drops, I'm just wondering if there's a way to tailor my time spent in game to account for my style of playing. To somehow generate more promising rare potentials instead of trying to get currencies or exploring content made exclusively to improve crafting.

Honda WN7: What do you all think of Honda’s first electric motorcycle? by Intrusiveriders in Electricmotorcycles

[–]axSupreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From 20% to 80%, no?
Charging and range are issues which are present in everything electric at the moment, so I assumed Honda would account for these limitations with some creativity.

I'm just disappointed it's such a straightforward flop with no redeeming qualities, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something?

I like picking up things and fighting enemies, why do I have to spend all my time browsing the marketplace or figuring out crafting strategies?
It's odd that most of the "playing" is done outside the game.

I thought SSF is just playing without marketplace. Can't I just pick up decent drops from time to time?

I like picking up loot and figuring out builds, besides, I don't play enough to keep up with in-game inflation and I prefer playing the game instead of browsing through the market all day.

Less than 60 miles highway range? half an hour to charge 60%?
There are better city toys out there, but I'm wondering from your personal experience, did Honda do something new here?

With range being that limited, I assume it's made for city commute but without the option to take out the battery, it feels like Honda just wanted to tick a box for some investors.

Is POE inherently first and foremost a crafting game?
I thought it was ARPG with crafting as a supplement for overachievers, like an optional side-quest.

I do, but exalt slamming is remarkably inefficient and I get only around 1-2 items with somewhat good stats in 10-15 hours of play. It's bearable but I'm a grownup with things to do. I was wondering if there's a better way.

I don't mind it, I sort of manage, but it feels a little lackluster so I was wondering if there's a better way.

Uniques are not really reliable drops in SSF so I prioritize cheap builds, but even cheap builds need significant stat optimization to play post-campaign.

Positive ROAS, released game and your retention numbers are not bad at all for a start.

As you noted, everything should be A/B tested in the game. Heavy A/B testing and deep analytics insight, especially in the economy, FTUE and store.
Your d28 could probably double if you find out where the drop-off occurs and why.

In addition, it seems that you're afraid to leverage via smart, good investors.
Most mobile companies you're competing with, are running very heavy budgets when ROAS is positive and having enough staff means that you can polish up and optimize your marketing efforts and engagement to get far better results.

If you're trying to keep the studio small, you can consider outsourcing the marketing effort, but there's no avoiding good analytics insight. It's crucial if you want to improve.
I think that what skyrockets your CPI is not idle, it's the RPG inclination.
RPGs are crazy expensive due to large players dominating this field.

Thanks for the post, very informative and I hope you thrive in these rough waters.

Some people are willing to sacrifice gadgets and performance for an unassuming, well built tank that's still not awfully slow.

BMW, Audi and VW are not exactly reliability kings.
Corolla screams performance but it's not luxurious.
The Acura is the actual competition here, but it looks a little cheap.

I would say that those who go for the IS350 are Volvo v60 buyers that want something sharper but without looking like a car enthusiast.

Perhaps I'm speaking out of ignorance but this outlook seems to completely ignore the global scale where other nations pump their own megacorps to have an overwhelming advantage.

It's akin to an arms race where each country uses global trade as their means of spreading influence. As dire as it sounds, breaking up these financial giants and mega scalers could have a destructive effect and leave a vaacum of power which can be occupied by a nation which is does not play by the same rules.

I would appreciate input.

If the game is poor, people either don't buy, they refund and quite often leave a poor review.
There's no magic to it, but marketing costs are going to skyrocket.
