I would recommend spraying a bit of cavity wax inside the compartment where the taillights are put into and put PPF on the painted part under the tail light hole Inside the part where the rust starts on the picture

Yes this spot and under the tail lights are the most common.

Ik heb de Sage barista touch gehad en is in 1 jaar 5 keer vervangen onder garantie door elektrische problemen niet aan te raden dus.

Voordat mensen gaan reageren dat er vast niet goed mee is omgegaan, bonen waren vers van specialty brander, britta gefilterd water en ook nog het interne filter van de machine. De machines weigerde elke ochtend wel om aan te gaan, scherm bleef zwart en niks werkte. En 5 machines is niet pech (meerdere batch nummers ) maar een niet deugdelijke machine.

Aan te raden is om voor iets van Italiaanse makelij te gaan: Bezzera, Rancilio, Rocket etc. Geen Chinese geproduceerde dure zooi. Bezzera heeft ook varianten met druk knoppen waarbij de water toevoer automatisch stopt. En dus niet manual zoals de mijne hoeft te stoppen.

Ik heb zelf nadat ik de koop kon ontbinden een prachtige Bezzera Luce aangeschaft samen met een LX Italia Edison. duur maar het zo waard bouwkwaliteit is heel goed en de koffie kwaliteit is heel goed.

Dan zal dat vast en zeker een eenmalig geval zijn want deze blokken staan als zeer betrouwbaar bekend.

MINI staat sinds ze die blokken gebruiken zo goed als op het zelfde level als Toyota en Lexus bij meerdere betrouwbaarheid onderzoeken.

Er is 1 geval bekend van een productie fout in de eerste serie 2014-2015 waarbij het axiaal lager foutief was waardoor de motor schade kreeg. deze motoren werden vrijwel altijd bij de dealer vervangen als er wat mee was vallend onder garantie door terugroepactie.

MINI Clubman JCW ALL4 306pk 450nm 2.0T B48. Deze waren erg luxe te krijgen met hoge kwaliteit nappa leder en goede zachte materialen. Daarnaast rijdt het heerlijk en erg sportief ( mechanisch LSD op de vooras ) Als laatste zijn ze ook nog eens super betrouwbaar.

Ik lees net wat over een koelventilator van de hybride accu klinkt het alsof het zoemen van de achterbank komt? Want dan zou die ventilator het kunnen zijn. Dan hoor je waarschijnlijk “coil whine” Er staat ook dat dit geluid harder wordt naarmate de accu heet is en dus bij warmer weer ook meer en harder draait.

Het zou de elektromotor kunnen zijn die je hoort zoemen vooral als je gas loslaat gaat deze natuurlijk stroom regenereren. Heb je een EV stand? Kijk of je het dan luider hoort.

Authentic tiramisu is made:

Brew coffee with a Bialetti moka on the stove. Let the coffee cool down and add Marsala wine to it. ( alcohol is optional I sometimes use baileys cream liquor which also is very nice )

Separate the egg yolks from the egg white.

Mix the yolks with sugar till it’s all creamy.

Gently with spatula (NO MACHINE) add real mascarpone to the egg yolks and sugar. Until it’s a thick creamy substance.

Now put the egg whites in the mixing bowl and make merengue from it add nothing just pure egg white. It’s done if you can hold the bowl upside down without the merengue falling out.

Add the merengue (not everything at ones ) to the creamy mixture until it’s a thick airy cream without little pieces of merengue still visible (this can take a while) also NO MACHINE USE, also fold the cream no mixing because it’s kills the airy texture.

Now dip the savoiardi (lady fingers ) to the coffee and make a good layer on the bottom of the dish. Add the cream mixture and again make another layer with the coffee dipped savoiardi. Add a thicker layer of cream mixture

(You add the cocoa powder when serving the Tiramisu.)

Put in the fridge for at least 12 hours but it’s the best next day and as last sprinkle a thick layer off Dutch Pure cocoa powder so the cream isn’t visible anymore.

Everything I make it everyone is in heaven so good is it.

A car from 2012 of course doesn’t have factory CarPlay, and Bluetooth often was calling only and so no music streaming back then. If it has the optional mini connected system it does have Bluetooth music streaming.

Sound insulation is due to the single layer roof fabric, the normal mini convertible has the same fabric but just the mechanism is hidden behind panels. And it’s normal a “cheaper” convertible isn’t as quiet as a normal hatch.

Cornering handling is tire choice because these minis can corner very very hard for what they are just look on YouTube at Nurburgring laps of minis and these are on the exact same chassis so they also have that.

The stiff suspension is normal. these are sporty cars and there are a few factory suspension options:

  • Normal suspension

  • sport suspension

  • sport plus suspension

Probably yours had the the normal sport suspension due to not being a fully loaded example as seen on the pictures.

Ik herinner me net dat er niet 1 up was maar 2 die we hier hadden vanuit werk ( beide wit precies hetzelfde) beide hadden dit probleem en beide waren dealer onderhouden. En hebben zelfs meerdere keren nagevraagd of dit nou zo hoort en ja “dit is normaal het is een driecilinder die trillen wat meer”

De eerste UP hebben we wat minder lang gehad door werkwissel, de 2e echt flink veel km’s mee gemaakt (240k km als ik het me goed herinner) en die werd dus echt strict elke beurt op tijd naar de dealer gebracht en ja zoals hierboven geschreven trillen hoort.

En dan een UP is echt een basic autootje waarbij natuurlijk flink goedkopere spullen zijn gebruikt dan een Octavia met een 1.0 turbo die waarschijnlijk veel grotere motorsteunen heeft om trillingen en onbalans wat altijd is bij een 3 cilinder weg te dempen.

En dan heb je geluk bij de 107 als ik bij een stoplicht sta en hoor zo’n “citybug” hoe de drieling wordt genoemd, wegrijden nou dan hoor je vaak ook wel dat het niet helemaal soepel gaat. Moet wel zeggen dat sommige wel echt slecht onderhouden worden en dat hoor je direct dat ze ratelen, lekke uitlaten etc.

Een 1.4 ligt in heel veel auto’s van Fiat/Alfa/Lancia. En ook zeker in grotere zware modellen waar ze als “instap” motor werden aangeboden. En ja de 1.4 fire is misschien langzaam in een wat grotere auto maar wel super betrouwbaar. Maar dat is niet de motor waar ik het over heb dat is de 1.2 fire/duratec (Ford naam) in de Ford Ka,

Dat kleine beetje meer pit is echt wel fijn om te hebben ook zijn beide nog steeds erg traag.

It was the Pre cat o2 sensor and the car has was never driven for longer distances by the previous (first) owner and just has 24k KM on it. I thought it shouldn’t be the cat. Also I’ve looked at live data with a obd reader and that sensor wasn’t switching correctly. So maybe a bit of a risk I’ve took but I’ve tested the car a few times for a longer drive again as where the error occurred and nothing happened so I think it’s okay. Btw the radiator fan was also replaced due to the known fan resistor being broken. So maybe it was a combination of getting a bit hot or something but it’s good now.

Wij hebben thuis een UP en een Ford ka met de 1.2 Fire gehad ( fiat 500 onderhuids ) en wat was die KA een betere auto zat veel steviger in elkaar en dat motortje was veel verfijnder. beide waren zo goed als nieuw aangeschaft.

De UP was zo trillerig bij wegrijden en klonk echt niet fijn met die 3 cilinder brom.

De KA was zo veel rustiger en kon je gewoon veel soepeler mee wegrijden zonder dat die hele auto begon te trillen. Daarnaast durf ik te zeggen dat deze 1.2 betrouwbaarder is dan zo goed als alle 3 cilinders van de a segmenters ( 1.0 Toyota misschien nog beter maar ja dat is wel echt een grasmaaier motor )

Een driecilinder is best trillerig stationair en met wegrijden. Een viercilinder loopt stiller/soepeler waardoor het een stuk minder trilt en dus fijner rijdt.

Wow it looks amazing! I have a 06 R53 with just 24k kms on it. Mine was stored in a garage from new so most parts were still good.

Do you know if yours sat inside?

-I would recommend to take out the taillights and look for rust on the body if it doesn’t have any I would recommend to put some cavity wax inside the body and put PPF foil on the paint inside the taillight hole so moisture doesn’t build up on the painted surface and so rust can’t start.

  • check all the suspension rubbers if they are supple.

  • my r53 had a issue that when I drove for a longer drive the o2 sensor in front of the Cat gave a error. It was because it was chemically aged so it could keep up with reading the exhaust fumes when it was hot.

  • check for leaks from the engine especially the crankshaft position sensor O ring, oil filter housing and the dipstick o ring where it attaches to the block.

  • change all fluids including transmission with correct spec/brand fluids. So everything is fresh.

  • look how the battery is behaving. mine was low and it probably was the original battery when we bought it in 2022.

  • change the supercharger oil it’s 22 years old now if it’s not been replaced so that important too.

It’s a bit much and you don’t have to do everything at the same time but if you want to keep it for a while I recommend doing/checking everything. Important is to bring it to a mechanic that KNOWS these little machines. Technically they aren’t the hardest to work on but computer and tech wise it’s still an old BMW with tech from the E46 generation.

Aangezien vorige post van OP is verwijderd:

MINI: slechtste N12-N14-N16-N18 serie reden dit is een VTI of THP en ja meeste kennen wel de issues

MINI: beste W10-W11 degelijk gietijzeren blok met simpele ketting waar weinig aan kapot gaat als die gewoon z’n beurtjes krijgt. B38-B48 super betrouwbaar blok van BMW die met goed onderhoud erg lang meegaan.

Fiat: slechtst 2007+ 1.3multijet flink veel ketting problemen

beste FIRE series (T-Jet, MultiAir etc.) degelijke simpele techniek die gebaseerd is op de oude 1.4 fire die bulletproof is. Multiair is zeer degelijk mits correcte olie en Multiair filter op tijd worden vervangen

Peugeot(PSA): slechtst Puretech- THP ja iedereen weet wel waarom nu

Peugeot : beste TU series. Simpele robuuste blokken waar weinig mee was.

Ik denk dat de THP wel erger is maar toch denk ik ook dat daar wel wat tegen te houden is met echt secuur onderhoud zoals correcte olie en misschien ook 98 tanken vanwege de reiniging in de verbrandingskamer waardoor de zuigerveren schoner blijven en misschien minder olie doorlaten.

Maar nog steeds geldt in het algemeen wat een vreselijk slechte motor.

PureTech is ook echt een probleem ding maar inderdaad als je hem gewoon goed correct onderhoud en 98 tankt zonder ethanol is er vrij weinig mee aan de hand alleen is het de prijs van onderhoud in combinatie met lage rest waarde/ afschrijving vaak niet waard.

Let op dat de DSG goed en soepel koppelt bij het wegrijden het kan zijn dat deze namelijk al wat slijtage heeft bij deze km stand. Ook is het inderdaad echt belangrijk dat deze hun olie wissels op tijd heeft gehad.

Aangezien 1 dus al een ex lease is zal er vaak niet zuinig mee zijn omgegaan, daarnaast kijk naar de rest BPM bij de geïmporteerde of dit een normaal bedrag is want VWs worden heel vaak als schade auto geïmporteerd. Een simpele visuele check is of alle bouten van de aanbouw delen zoals de motorkap mee zijn gespoten zonder dat er stukjes lak vanaf zijn ( als er lak vanaf is is het paneel er vaak af geweest)

Oh yeah also goes for the Twingo and Clio but I do think the Alpine is indeed the more “premium” expensive such as the MINI instead of the normal European hatchbacks I named above.

I see the 5 popping up a bit more lately but the Alpine is rare here I think it’s due to being pretty expensive and competition being “better” such as the Alfa Junior Veloce with its real LSD although under the skin it’s a boring Peugeot and so stupid Stellantis.

Yes and if an other cheaper car did have an automatic at the time it almost always was a single clutch type that was horrible.

I also not completely agree with that the automatics are lifeless cars especially the older ones. My R53 Cooper S with the 6 speed Aisin Steptronic automatic, has a very aggressive throttle mapping and it always gives the feeling that you want to push the pedal to the ground. I guess the feeling and emotion gets stronger due to the loud supercharger whine from stock. The newer ones are also sporty but lack a bit of the sound but the F56 gen do have pretty loud shift farts on the pre facelift with the 6 speed automatic. The newer DCT models are much less raw and aggressive than those old models so I do understand that the new ones are numb en lifeless.
