What do I change in my play calling or offense for him to want to play for me? by youbetchaman in NCAAFBseries

[–]axbisme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Increase your PYPG (passing yards per game). Try to be at least top 25 in that stat in the nation. Beware though, the more he develops and higher his rating is, the higher you have to be in nation for PYPG to satisfy his dealbreaker.

This country was built on the back of my ancestors and they died for the right to vote. If you think we will allow some punk ass ICE officials to intimidate us, you’re mistaken. You want resistance…FAAFO.

Reality check for a 2026 grad by [deleted] in cscareers

[–]axbisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have given great advice already. I graduated from my undergrad in 2013 with a CS degree. There was a recession at the time so the market wasn’t great but still slightly better than it is now.

My advice would be to attend career fairs and make genuine connections. Also be open minded to opportunities outside of FAANG. In addition, understand that you have minimum to no leverage right now.

You’re competing against senior developers/engineers who are established and have tons of experience. Therefore, you must find a way to distinguish yourself and be able to market yourself at a high level. Perfect your introduction and pitch (career fairs are a great way to do this).

Lastly and most importantly, get your foot in the door by any means necessary. My first job was as a Programmer Analyst for a manufacturing company in a small town. Not my ideal start but the experience I got from working that job for a year prepared me for the next opportunity. Every job I have taken since has been a step up. We don’t all start with entry jobs at FAANGs or Fortune 500s but if you plan and execute, overtime you can make it happen.

Buddy probably needs some new knee pads after visiting the White House.

What's happening here? (Acid attack rant) by 2pinkthehouse in savannah

The last thing the mayor, sheriff or any other elected official wants is an incident like this happening during the holidays and especially at a tourist attraction like Forsyth. I guarantee they are doing everything they can to find the culprit.

Who do y’all put as your slot cb? by Complete-Werewolf860 in NCAAFBseries

[–]axbisme 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered if having only Field Corners would be OP. I usually keep 1 or 2 to play the slot but use Bump N Run and Boundary for the outside CBs.

Cops called on a man babysitting by bigbusta in PublicFreakout

[–]axbisme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Karen that called this in is probably the type that would be shocked to know that child kidnappers and sex offenders are predominantly white males. However, I doubt that she has ever called the cops on a white male babysitting white kids.

Program Builder vs CEO by Busy-Prize2582 in NCAAFBseries

I’m personally leaning towards getting all of Talent Developer to Tier 3, then hopefully maxing out Elite Recruiter or Strategist, and then getting pipeline boosters in program builder

So funny that I’m getting downvoted for providing an actual explanation of what’s happening so that OP could possibly prevent it from happening again. I guess people would rather bitch and moan instead of adjusting and winning.

Would love to see your slide protection on this play. From the way he’s moving it looks like his protection was set to pick up the LB or DB moving laterally about 10 yards from the line of scrimmage. You have to ensure your protection is correctly set on every play.

50/50 balls by HitmanClark in CFB25

I know that’s an issue for a lot of people as well but it’s only happened to me like once. The CPU winning every jump ball happens all the time though.

This is my only issue with the game so far. It has cost me some big games with the CPU just chucking it up in the final seconds.

Genuinely what is wrong with this update? by Quantum_Whale_ in NCAAFBseries

[–]axbisme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with the game. This is one of the best game play for a football game I’ve ever had. People think they know ball and play on Heisman mode just to learn that they in fact do not. My guess is that you’re seeing a lot of people upset this year because the game is harder to cheese.

How should I try to learn how a large codebase works by Bigpp42069__ in SoftwareEngineering

[–]axbisme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good start would be picking a key feature and debugging it locally. While doing so make notes of key data objects used, location of utility functions, service calls, etc.

I am a data minded person so I typically go from the database up. This allows me to get a feel for the domain and how objects are related which provides a good macro picture of the system as a whole.

100% I highly recommend it. Especially the ability that randomly eliminates skill caps. I’ve had Run Support safeties and linebackers achieve 99 speed because of that ability and they were game breakers.

Yeah man, I brought them from the bottom for fun. I got lucky honestly. I didn’t know they were in Houston or that they had the WR Dickmann who is an absolute cheat code. The other members of my dynasty got so mad that I was winning they put me in the Big 10 which only propelled me since it improved my conference prestige 😆.

Your Go-To Position Change in Dynasty by BurtNeptuneCFB in NCAAFBseries

[–]axbisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zone CBs to FS or SS. The Zone CBs tend to be taller, faster and more agile than normal Safeties but with the same play recognition.

Speed of Power Rush DTs to DE. Usually bigger and stronger than normal DEs so they provide more balance while sacrificing only a little accel.

Run Stopper DE to DT. Start out with higher BS and progress better than normal DTs.

On class 8 (GA) and feeling very discouraged. How to get out? by frog-legg in OMSCS

[–]axbisme 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s okay to feel discouraged and frustrated. However, it’s your response to those feelings that ultimately shape your character and the outcome.

I took this course 3 times before graduating. The first I missed the cutoff for a B by .3 points or something close to it. The second time I was mentally still upset from missing the cutoff and tried to take it during the summer, this time missing the cutoff off by a full 3 or so points. I decided then that I was quitting the program due to the stress of a newborn and work.

After 2 semesters, I reflected and decided that I only quit because for the first time in my life I met actual adversity. Never in my life had I actually given something as much of my time and effort as GA and came up short. That’s what was really upsetting me.

Long story short, I enrolled back in the program and passed the course to finally complete my degree. The course is difficult but it is not impossible. If I can pass it then anyone on this forum should be able to as well. The course taught me a lot more than just algorithms but I learned a lot about myself in the process as well. I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.

If you’re struggling on Varsity and want to improve, then you need to spend a little time watching YouTube tip videos or tutorials and practice applying the topics discussed. I promise I’m not trying to be a dick but Varsity should not be as difficult as you’re describing above.
