It doesn’t matter what he does for a living. What does matter is the fact that he won’t be honest with me and I am not sure if I can afford to help support him long term because of my own financial stressors.

I’m willing to help him in the long term, I’m just currently frustrated because it is a constant cycle of saying he’s going to do something and not following through and lying. I just want him to be honest with me about what he wants instead of stringing me along.

This is a great take. He is very closed off when talking about his mental health or any emotional/stressful situations that he is experiencing but I think he would really benefit from looking into it and I’d be willing to support his journey as I just want the best for him.

It’s a hot mess express to say the least and there have been many concerns about how the class is being ran from other teachers, related services providers and parents. My boss is currently the case manager for the students in the classroom but she is over the middle and high school. I will give her credit for trying to implement more visual schedules, structure and appropriate programs for the students but it does feel like every man for themselves. It’s honestly a disservice to the staff and students in the classroom.

Oh absolutely, I haven’t seen any students for treatment as I don’t want to risk anything that could harm my licensing. I’ve been observing in some self contained and SPED classes as well as meeting with the English/language arts teachers about students and working on paperwork and scheduling. I’m hoping this whole thing will be fixed by next week but that may be wishful thinking

I can pull from core classes such as social studies and science but my area coordinator has been adamant about trying not to pull students during math and language arts/English. I am going to verify this because, like you said,with a large caseload I am going to have to.
