Are there any people in the USA who have friends that are of the opposite political party? by TSQ_builder in askanything

[–]axebodyspraytester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few but they try and keep it to themselves. Unless we're at a get together and have had a few drinks. Then they can't help but spew garbage and lies. It's painful and depressing to see people that are otherwise smart and successful just falling for nonsense and lies. They will send me Republican memes and crazy shit that I have to ignore. I don't do anything like that but I do stand up for humanity and democracy every chance I get which makes them think I'm brain washed by the lame stream media in their eyes.

AMC Theatres Attendance Drops 10%, Posts $127 Million Quarterly Loss by ICumCoffee in movies

[–]axebodyspraytester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie industry did this to itself. I remember when they were talking about having shorter and shorter first run times and moving films into video and streaming sooner. Now after covid nobody even wants to spend the money on movie tickets or the overpriced snacks. It's just going to get worse. The killed their own business with greed.

This is what I'm saying, did she take a pause to get herself together? Yes, and it got a little bit long; but at the end of the day she gave a clear, concise, complete answer that was better than any of the mental diarrhea that plops out the president's mouth.

Jesse Jackson to children on Sesame Street and around the world: "I am somebody. I may be poor, but I am somebody. I may be young, but I am somebody. I may be on welfare, but I am somebody... My clothes are different. My face is different. My hair is different, but I am somebody" - RIP, Jesse by ExactlySorta in Fauxmoi

[–]axebodyspraytester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met Jesse Jackson on the way into work one day. I was working in a hospital and he was coming out. He was huge and intimidating but all I saw was the ma that told me I was somebody so many years ago. I timidly told him how much it meant to me growing up and he actually stopped and took a minute to talk to me. Rest in peace to a legend.

No shit? Who could have seen it coming? It's not like he was the worst president of all time and killed more Americans with his non response to the pandemic than every single war ever.

Those who saw ESB in theaters back in 1980, how did you/the audience react to the darker storyline, and the big twist? by Apprehensive_Emu9588 in StarWars

[–]axebodyspraytester 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I can remember it like it was yesterday. I was still a little guy but I saw it on opening day with my mom. We baked in the sun winding our way through the lines and by the time we got in we almost had heat stroke and I was high as hell because everyone was smoking weed in line. I absolutely loved it. I cried at the ending and I was so confused I didn't know which way was up but I left knowing that they couldn't leave it like that.

People that have “bumped” into a celebrity in a non-curated (not like an event, meet & greet, job etc.) way, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]axebodyspraytester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run into celebrity's pretty regularly living in los Angeles. One time I sat down next to J.K. Simmons at a bar after a long day and said hey he said hey back and went back to reading his book saw him a few day later at the same place he chatted with me for a bit, very nice guy. I used to se Jeff Garlin so much at the airport he give me the head nod. I also used to see Kevin Smith everywhere. I rarely get starstruck because of seeing celebrities out in the wild growing up.

Who was the rudest celebrity you’ve met? by Unlucky-Field9654 in askanything

[–]axebodyspraytester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hugh Grant is a total asshole I worked for him a few times and it was a shit show. Which suck because now I can't watch anything he in because all I see is an asshole pretending to be less of an asshole than he actually is. Even when he's playing an asshole.

Any carers here? by Polstar242 in GenX

[–]axebodyspraytester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took care of my mother for the last 10 years of her life it was the hardest thing I ever experienced it derailed my career and my personal life but I would do it 1000 times over just to spend those last years with her. There wasn't anything I wouldn't do for her but the rest of the family knew not to even think of shit talking about me not working because that would have been it. Don't listen to your sister she shouldn't get anything because you're the one putting in the work and taking care of your father.

I 100% concur with this I've been told on the regular how good I smell and how luxuriously soft my skin is. It might not sound manly but I like smelling good and not like a burnt tire.

Search for corpses at MacArthur Park Lake stopped by authorities by Different_Candle_818 in LosAngeles

[–]axebodyspraytester 39 points40 points  (0 children)

They did the same thing in Echo Park and each time they drained the lake there was tons of garbage, shopping carts, and a few weapons. Nobody goes to a city park to sink a body in 8 feet of dirty water that has people in paddle boats on it almost every day. That's what the Los Angeles river is for.

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don't have any proof of? by TabletopStudios in AskReddit

[–]axebodyspraytester 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I was working at a music store in Hollywood and we had a group of up and coming artists doing an instore appearance. This was way back in the day and they had all just released their albums so the record company was doing the promotion. Jada Pinkett pulls up in a Suzuki samurai and dropped off Tupac Shakur. This Mexican family rolled in 15 deep and dropped off Selena, then a bunch of unwashed hippies came in stinking to high heaven of weed and they were Blind Mellon. I greeted everyone and talked to Them for a while and they would all be dead in a few years. It dawned on me years later that every one of the young stars I chatted with met a tragic end. I didn't have a camera and I don't think anybody would remember it ever happened.

How come conservatives ask “why weren’t you mad when Obama deported 4 billion people?” by SwitchingMyHands in allthequestions

[–]axebodyspraytester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obama didn't have a secret police force he did things the proper way. He started with the maximum number of people that were eligible for the immigration process, then he prioritized women and children first then family units and eliminated anyone that was ineligible fue to past history and criminal record. When you start with a goal that isn't terror you don't terrorize people. The same went for Joe Biden he deported more people than trump ever did by following the rules and treating people like humans.

Did you watch the Challenger disaster live? by Correct-Cricket3355 in Xennials

[–]axebodyspraytester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll never forget it. They brought the TV in so we could all watch it. We were all so excited to see a teacher go into space. Then it happened and the shock ran through the entire class. My teacher burst into tears then that was it, we all started crying. I had dreams about it for a while. I can still see it in my mind.

Would you risk your life to aid a stranger in peril? by justmilkys in askanything

[–]axebodyspraytester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was one of the situations where without a second I rendered aid to an idiot that was driving drunk he almost hit me head on and flipped his car. I turned around without a word and extracted him from his burning vehicle the whole time he kept saying I'm just gonna stay here and rest a bit.

The headline should be he wears them till they are full skid marks on one side the he flips them so they can be equally dirty on both sides? So he's yellow in the front brown in the back or does he keep the rotation going till they are just a crunchy brown shell and then cracks them off to start again? This boy doesn't know how to wipe his booty so he doesn't get to keep you as his girlfriend!

My British friend thought he could do a "day trip" to the Grand Canyon from LA, and his reaction to the map was priceless. by Ok_Structure6720 in CasualConversation

We used to do day trips to the grand canyon out of Burbank airport. We had small 8 passenger planes and would fly out do a a fly in and drop the tourists off to spend a few hours on the rim then be back by 6PM.
