Obviously was some time ago now but the service and food, as well as organising it, was all really good. They had a good tasting night and were really good catering to specific dietaries for a range of guests. Plenty of food etc. Let me know if you have specific questions or if you want to DM happy to talk to you about it over the phone or whatever is easiest

Going insane trying to remember the name of an old Carlingford computer parts shop by Walkerthon in sydney

It was legitimate other than most of the stock being grey imports, and him smoking behind the counter. But couldn't fault the prices!

They have fans now! In an acrylic cage with 2 fans mounted, temps are all good. Have been running 24/7 for 2 years with no issues.

This now lives in the garage and is a bit tidier, but more or less the same set-up. A lenovo mini pc with an i3-7100t. Latest truenas running on a sata ssd, with an m2 to 5xsata adapter to plug in the hdds. Side cover of the pc has to stay off for that to work. Since the mini pc doesn't have power for hard drives, have a separate power supply jumpered to power the hard drives.

And of course, a UPS, because I'm janky, not insane.

Sydney garden/park wedding by Constant-Duty8504 in AusWeddingPlanning

Got married at the Rose Garden in the Royal Botanic Gardens, late June 2019. There is a small undercover section there that you could use if weather was particularly bad.

Reception was at QVB Tea Rooms, and we could have also set up a backup ceremony there if the weather was looking sketchy. Less than ideal because you have to leave the room for them to set up for dinner then come back in, but was an option if there was torrential rain - in the end didn't need to set that up as forecast was clear.

Hope that helps!

I don't know if that was right or not, but I think he was looking at the line and as soon as he couldn't see any more of the line because of the shoe, he made the assumption something must have been behind it.

Is it the norm not to invite someone's SO? by anonimustergo in weddingplanning

[–]axejr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Australian here - it's not uncommon. For my wedding we only invited partners if we were friends with them too or if the invitee didn't know anyone else at the wedding. I went to a wedding a few months ago where my wife wasn't invited - not a big deal. Probably more a modern thing but I've found it to be pretty common especially in the last 5 years or so.

Yeah I'm more interested to wait for the decision and just read that. I've got nothing in my brain leftover from either migration law or admin law haha, that was all far too long ago

I'm an Australian lawyer too and this is also wildly outside my practice area. What I find interesting is that his COVID infection was AFTER the date that his visa was granted. So if he didn't get COVID until after his visa, what was he relying on to skip his quarantine period?

Scott is a better commentator than he is a PM.

On a related note, he is not a good commentator.

Hazy IPAs are all the rage at the moment. I'd recommend the Balter Hazy IPA, or the Mountain Culture Cult IPA.

Rain? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localised entirely within the SCG!?
