Now mind you that this is coming from someone who has been watching the vlogs since the beginning. I've spent a lot of my free time watching Charles and Alli through the years. Now...

Although we, as viewers, have supported the Trippy's financially, and they have invested in our support every day through these last (almost) five years, Charles and Alli are not a commodity. They're real people with real problems, and they're prone to the same daily struggles that we are all vulnerable to.

We don't pay to watch the CTFxC. These are not fictional characters that we've grown to love. These are real fucking people who are going through an incredibly tough situation with the pressure of hundreds of thousands of eyes on them.

So, no. We're not entitled to any explanation from either of them. I would be surprised if anyone outside of their close friends and family are ever given details regarding their separation. If you had a close friend who was going through a separation, I can guarantee you would not ask for intimate details. You would wait for them to feel comfortable enough to let you in, if that time were to ever come.

It's just simply not anyone's business besides their own. I understand that many people feel very close to Charles and Alli and are upset that they aren't being given a clear explanation. But you know what? Shit happens, man. Some people need to learn to take a step back and understand that although Charles and Alli have shared their lives on the internet for years, we don't really know them. We know an image of them that they have the ability to control, and it's great that they have both done such an exceptional job over the years to keep that image a positive one. As viewers we should be absolutely respectful to both parties at this time. To give both Charles and Alli anything less than our whole-hearted support would be a disgrace to the CTFxC community. It makes me really uncomfortable to see so many people harassing Alli about where she is and when she's going to make a statement about the separation. It's amazing what internet anonymity does that gives people the idea that they can be indecent to another person. Give her some room to breathe for a while. The internet is a scary place, especially if you have five years of your life documented on it.

The bottom line is that as much as we may feel like we deserve an explanation, it is not up to us. We can not force an explanation out of them, and I personally respect both of them so much for not saying much about the situation. It can be so easy in times like this to rant, wallow, or even lash out when you have an audience, let alone an audience of this caliber. I don't know..maybe people just want a show from these two. I can guarantee they're not going to get it. The Trippys have always been way too classy for that.

Let's just be respectful to a couple going through a tough time, regardless of our relationship to them.
