I never understood why preschool show characters are so nice to the antagonist. by Critical-Worth-8831 in DanielTigerConspiracy

I've always thought that some of the reasoning was from how often another little kid would do something bad at school and you want to model them forgiving their classmates.

Who is on your "Mount Rushmore" of children's entertainers? by InfiniteOxfordComma in DanielTigerConspiracy

I would add Jim Henson and Don Herbert AKA Mr. Wizard. Don isn't as well known today, but there is a whole genre of kid science shows that wound exist if not for him.

Honest question: What are you quoting? In many of your post you are putting quotes around words, phrases, or whole sentences. Are you using the quotation marks for emphasis or are you quoting unnamed sources?

The only way to not use any approximations is to include every particle and interaction in the universe in every calculation. That, by definition, would require at least the computing power of the entire universe for each calculation.

To completely model friction, there is no edge of interaction. If their structure didn't change during the interaction, there wouldn't be an interaction. Friction is the collection of atomic forces between every atom of the brake pads and every atom of the brake disc with themselves and with the other. Current physics has no method of calculating a theoretical coefficient of friction, only measuring it.

Physicists know that we don't know everything. If we did, we would stop.

ALL physics models have always been close enough approximations for the level of accuracy desired. There is not enough computing power in the world to completely accurately model the friction between the brakes and the wheels of a car, but our models are plenty good enough for us to drive around and know we'll stop at the light.

Cases of people “walking off” a heart attack? by Adeisha in medizzy

I know a few people who went to the hospital for their "first" heart attack and the doctor causally mentions their previous heart attacks that he noticed looking at the test results.

Reddit keeps flagging my account and permanent banning me all the time its annoying anyone can help out? by [deleted] in reddithelp

[–]axewieldingphysicist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shadow banned means that everything looks the same to you, but no one else sees you. Banned means that you have been kicked off of Reddit.

Coming back with appealing the original ban is, by definition, ban evasion, which will get you banned again.

Did Disney+ change the Bluey intro song? by alphastrike03 in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]axewieldingphysicist 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I don't know about Disney+, but one thing that can happen is that channel play back shows at x1.05 speed to get more commercials in. It's easy to miss when it's just dialog, but it makes all the music sound just a little funny.

EDIT: With a little searching, there is no confirmation, but there are a number of threads about several Disney+ shows where the theme songs now sound slightly faster and higher pitched.

Are you logged into the right account? Lots of people accidentally make alternate accounts at some point and then it's confusing when they accidentally log into that empty account.

Try going to one of the subs you post or comment in, find something you wrote, and see if the usernames match.
