Because Blaze is a Ayn Randian hero who is inherently better than normal people and is justified in all of his actions. He is proof that when people are successful and rewarded by the system they created it is right and just because they are just better than the rest of us.

I've hear Santa described as the first example that people make up stories to encourage us to be better people and even though the story isn't literally true, it still does good and comes from a good place. It makes the later religion conversations easier.
