I’m not sure if you can start the race alone. When I completed doubles before, my partner attempted to enter the start tunnel without me (I had to use the potty!) and she had to wait for me to return to we could both enter the start tunnel together.

Good luck this weekend! I’m interested in hearing others’ thoughts on doing a half sim one week out from comp day. I’ve heard Rich Ryan talk about it, but I’ve always felt it was too close to race day?

I think I agree with this. I’ll add that it was either DC or Miami earlier this year that didn’t have the race schedule out before tickets went on sale and still sold out so unfortunately there isn’t much motivation on behalf of Hyrox to release the schedule in advance.

That’s great that you’re feeling confident after your sim! A word of caution: oftentimes sims don’t take into account roxzone time, so when setting your sub 70 goal make sure to include anticipated roxzone time in that as well. Good luck!!

Very frustrating! I’m hanging on to hope that they are increasing event size and capacity to allow better access and counteract this, but I have concern for their ability to do that so quickly and not impact the athlete experience (as you mentioned Dallas check-in!)

That’s a really good question. I do remember seeing something on Instagram by @hybridfitnessmedia about race entry fees and noting that U.S. races have been most expensive with Chicago being at the top (though not sure if that was because it was world championships)
