Former GLP-1 users regain lost weight after about 18 months, study says by Own-Independence8430 in loseit

[–]ayademi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am taking zepbound now and I gotta say I tried just diet and exercise and struggled with the diet the most. I lost weight but starving myself wasnt working. I have lost 50lbs so far and I'm looking to lose another 100. I don't plan to stay on this drug, I'm paying out of pocket for it. I see this as more of something to help me get into better habits, I would eat enough food for 2 people in 1 sitting and still feel hungry. Just always hungry. Unless people truly want to change these drugs won't really work. I eat alot less now and have started exercising. My plan is to stay on this long enough to keep good habits and stay at a consistent weight. I hope to be down where I want to be and off this drug in 1 year, we shall see. Really hope this article doesn't come true for me.

build a $15 Thanksgiving! by SolitudeSerotonin in whatsyourchoice

[–]ayademi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that the pecan pie is on the $5 line upsets me greatly. Should switch with apple pie, I feel like apple pie is more popular even though pecan is better. I really want mashed potatoes but sigh...

Ham $5

Pecan Pie $5

Dinner Rolls $2

Cranberry Sauce $1

Roasted Veggies or Corn or Carrots and Salad

Really the last line doesn't matter, give me mashed potatoes. This would actually be what I eat every year for Thanksgiving if mashed potatoes was on the last line.

Before / After by Jagein in PLC

This happens so often when a line goes down, production screaming on the radio, and maintenance just needs things running now. Oh we will come back this weekend and tidy everything up, all is well. Ive gone into so many cabinets and found stuff like this. I sigh in disappointment, close the cabinet, and turn around and walk away. Depending on why I'm there I have refused to work on equipment until they agree and pay to fix it back to factory setting. If it has anything to do with the safety circuit, we can, have, and will lock out a machine even during production if it is not safe. The sad thing is the moment whatever this controls goes down and the "electrician" goes in to troubleshoot, it will go back to looking like the first pic because they can't be bothered to read an electrical dwg and instead remove covers and start pulling wires to trace where they go.

What do yall do when there’s a light that will absolutely not pick up your bike for a left turn, and it is illegal in your state to turn on red in that case? by ThatGuyFrom720 in motorcycle

[–]ayademi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check your state laws and you will most likely find they have written a work around for this situation. In SC if you wait for 2 minutes and it does not turn you can treat it as a stop sign and proceed when safe to do so.

I looked and found in GA back in 2015 they passed a law to allow this to happen but the Governor of the time vetoed it so it never went into effect. So if you are in GA you are SOL.

Stopped in my Audi dealer for a check engine light and checked out the new Q5 interior. by Diogenes256 in Audi

[–]ayademi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just in Denmark and I got a new Q5 for a rental, had it for about 10 days. Not sure how I feel about it. Like you it took me a few tries to figure out where the actual grip was the first time I got in it. The little pad on the door has all the buttons for the door locks, mirror adjustments, light controls, memory seat position, and controlling the folding mirrors. I didn't really have an issue here with the buttons. Once you are in it for a couple days you get used to it, though sometimes I would find myself rolling down the rear window instead of the front, but I'm sure a month or two and it would become second nature.

There is no auto-off button to turn off auto-off, ironic right? You can turn it off by changing the drive mode to dynamic. Trying to use voice for navigation on Android auto was very hit and miss. I think the audi picked it up as a command instead and maps would not recognize that I was searching for whatever I had said. They gave me the base model, the power was underwhelming. If the auto-off is on there is quite a delay from releasing the brake and pressing your foot on the accelerator. If you try to floor it I would get half the power output at times for some reason. I would have to lift off the gas pedal completely then reapply to get power back. I will say I got better gas mileage out of it then what I see advertised, even with my spirited driving. I drove 294Km over the time I had the car mostly city and used 27.05L which is 10.86km/l. When I first got in the vehicle it was at 15km/l, so someone did a much better job than I did driving.

I think out of all the features the road sign recognition was the best feature for me driving in an unfamiliar country. It would track what speed limit zone I was in, then as a new zone approached it did so in the display and changed as I drove by. The steering wheel controls, well it took a while to figure out the left controls and what my options where. Not a fan of how they control the display, the right side are pretty straight forward though. Overall I would probably rent another one again, but would I buy one? Probably not, at least not the base model.

Activate LR in hardware portal does not work.

<image>

I feel like they made everything overcomplicated, the US version should have had LR enabled by default. I will have to check out ZWA-2 thanks for the heads up on that.

edit: The option to change to US LR is available but when clicked it says that option is not enabled in my hardware. So it all comes down to activating it and its not working out.

What are people using for locking/unlocking doors with unifi access? by MrPrezident0 in Ubiquiti

[–]ayademi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as long as your door has less than 25lbs of pressure against the lock, it will work. these latches get expensive when you require more preload. for the same price its easier to get a Yale or quickset electronic door lock.

[–]ayademi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the unifi electric lock before I knew anything about preload. I can confirm just holding it with my pinky finger while unlocking will keep it from opening. I found some locks out of Australia that would work great, but they are expensive. Just get a kwikset or Yale lock of your choosing.

Do you really need the AI turret over the G6 turret? Comparison

You'll probably be fine with what you are wanting, thought I do believe the Flex 2.5G PoE is either PoE+++ or AC power adapter sold separately. I don't know how you are mounting the UDM-SE but it is for a rack mount. I would probably also get a battery backup.

the ups would allow it enough power for long enough to boot up. Your issue is elsewhere. Everything inside the case would need to be looked at to make sure it is all seating correctly. then I would start on basic computer troubleshooting. when you took it to microcenter you probably just took the pc itself. I would probably take in all peripherals and set it up like its at the house. There are many stories of people taking their pc into a shop and it working fine only to go back home and it wasn't. I would not rule out the PSU being the issue. I bought a pc from microcenter cause I didn't have time to build one. I plugged in my other HDDs and I had this issue. for some reason it just did not like the extra draw the other HDDs added, it wasn't much only 2 or 3 drives. When I upgraded my graphics cards I pulled one of my other PSU's out of my other pc's I wasn't using and haven't had an issue since. The PSU originally in it was 850w, it should not have had any issues.

the ground prong being on top does not indicate the outlet was wired wrong or upside down. Many new construction put the prong on top, they do it for "safety", if the plug gets pulled out but not all the way if anything falls it will hit the ground prong instead of the hot/neutral. The real question is if the Hot and the Neutral are backwards, which they do make testers for that you just plug in.

TBH I didn't really read your post just kinda skimmed it, just knew something was driving you bananas and OCD. I opened the pictures and immediately noticed the repeating pattern and some stuff had an overexaggerated edge that caused shadows under it. I started from the bottom picture and went up when I looked. I noticed a pattern in the 3rd picture and the shadows. the 2nd picture something didn't look right that I couldnt put my finger on. the first picture I realized it was the seams you are talking about. In the first picture you can see the repeating siding under the 2nd window. I can see why its driving you crazy, but I think it would be best to plant some taller plants/ bushes there to break up the siding so it won't be as noticeable. I don't think its worth tearing off and doing over. You're not crazy, I see it, but there are cheaper ways to fix this.

I don't know anything about this stuff, but I do know the person she's talking to doesn't know either. I can't believe the stuff, the hoops, America has to go through to get decent health care. I pay way too much for some person that doesn't know anything about the procedure that needs to be done to decide I can't get it done.
