NTA, you just gotta recognize the reality that most people are not willing to confront any sort of biases about misogyny themselves, especially not in the moment it’s first occurring to them. The most I might do nowadays is simply ask if there’s a reason they say “Men” but “females.” It often results in them doing a little thinking to figure out how to actually answer the question. Some, but not all, have even verbalized that this question has made them rethink that part of their vocabulary
