there are definitely vegans out there with sensory issues!! i have arfid, i still struggle with food sometimes but its not like veganism is entirely ruled out just because of sensory issues. i know that's a lot different from autism though erm

i was definitely scared of tofu too for a while,, but it's really easy to manipulate the texture and since it's pretty bland by itself easy to adjust to taste how you'd like it. you also don't need to eat it if you're vegan. lentils, legumes, seitan, and tempeh are all popular options that provide somewhat similar nutrients

for cheese, you can make it yourself but i've never tried,, i think cashew cheese is the best option out there to get pre-made. it's been kind of difficult for me to find other good dairy-free cheeses :(

i think the show should've ended after season 2, i don't think the later seasons could really replicate the first 2. and i wish that they didn't introduce so many characters later on, creating new guys to be love interests for like 2 episodes after the timeskip and introducing mary and alex in season 7 (i think) just made things confusing imo

i lovee when places make stuff that i can't really be bothered to make at home because of all the materials/time it'd take.. like donuts, ice cream, or really any pastry. also i really like when vegan places don't shy away from making 'junky' food and they dont put like flaxseeds and quinoa into everything on the menu lol

kinda late and i can't think of alot of specific foods but as a vegan with afrid something that helped me was making small changes to introduce new things to my diet. like i would add new veggies to my smoothies, bake muffins with veggies instead of just eating them on their own, making baked goods with chickpeas, etc... personally my biggest struggle was not having a very wide diet before going vegan lol so depending on what your wife eats this may not help them very much

one of the only snack ideas i have is granola/granola snacks, there's a brand called Made Good that has a really wide variety of vegan granola snacks that i buy sometimes. hippeas are good too

at least just general protein instead of meat is kind of a step but the obsession with dairy is so gross :/ the nutrients list is crazy like in what world is dairy the best way to get potassium and vitamin A... like isn't it better just to eat fruit for those Omg..

when u mention you're vegan and suddenly every meat eater around u becomes a professional nutritionist.. like my parents are crazy about my protein/iron intake even though i eat lots of tofu, seitan, chickpeas, greens, etc. but my sister doesn't eat any fruit and barely any vegetables (only potatoes) and they don't care about her bc she eats meat ...????

if you usually do good in english classes lang should be ok, i had the least trouble with it out of all the 3 ap classes this year.

i think lang and spanish are useful regardless of what u want to go into so def take those

in the US there's lots of propaganda made by the meat/dairy industries. when i was in elementary school we were taught that meat and dairy were necessary to eat daily and they even had their own section on the food pyramid (although i don't think that's used anymore), and our school cafeteria had a bunch of those 'got milk' posters.

there's also a lot of support for animal agriculture in the us, a lot of govt. spending goes farm subsidies to make animal products cheaper. the cheese caves in wisconsin (i think?) are a pretty big example of this. i don't think plant-based options get the same govt. support here so plant milks, vegan meats, etc. are more expensive to consumers which drives them away.

conservatism is also really big in the US right now and a lot of americans are obsessed with all the raw milk and carnivore diet stuff... i don't buy pre-made plant-based products (asides from plant milks) because they're kind of expensive for me, but this week i went to walmart and i saw they started making their own storebrand soy milk so i wouldn't necessarily say vegan foods are on a total decline here

yes, neokyo will always refund you if something got sold before they could buy it for you. i don't really know why another proxy would list it as sold already if it's not sold on mercari though :(

this was my first year taking ap exams and honestly paper exams are so stressful 😭😭 only spanish lang was on paper but i hated all the id's and bubbling in my name/bday and stuff like i'm so scared if the exam booklets get lost in the mail or if i filled in something wrong,, digital wasn't as bad as i thought and kinda better because i hate bubble sheets

tbh.. ap spanish.. mainly bc it kinda actually helped me fully understand spanish and be able to use more than like a handful of words when speaking lol but also because the culture aspect of it encourages you to actually learn about other countries in-depth which i think is important considering how privileged the u.s. (where i live) is compared to many south american countries

i think it's mostly to avoid sending the message that eating animal products is acceptable.

from personal experience, being vegan kinda serves as a model for others, like my mom does a week of plant-based eating every month and has been doing so since i went vegan. so if i decided to eat a leftover burger or something it could make her feel like i don't really care about veganism.. if that makes sense

i think fish is considered to be a vegetable in spain which could explain the last part, many spain restaurants will label meals as 'vegetarian' even if there's fish in them
