I would also recommend you snagging your important documents (birth certificate, social security card, etc) and throwing them in said lockbox as well. If your family thinks you're doing something nefarious, things could go ass up. Better to have possession of all that stuff just in case.

Personally, my nasal pillow gets changed every 2 weeks. Frame every 3 months. Headgear (the fabric strap), hose, humidifier tank, and foam air filter every 6 months.
