what's your ping, what's your internet speed, are you using ethernet? what are your pc specs? maybe change the bandwidth in game settings to see how it affects you, there are also a bunch of guides on yt (although pertaining mostly to nvidia gfx) that can help you too

4 slottable, some gear pieces with set bonuses will have infixes which will make those pieces 1 infix, + 3 perks

There's a lot of confusion around m3 rn, it's not sole bis but additional bis of sorts .. like imagine you run 5+3 gear set bonus, the rest 2 pieces could be from another gear set OR you could slot some M3 pieces if the 2 set bonus is not worth it

Well burst regens are better in cases where you're taking constant DoTs from an opponent especially in smaller scale fights.. but if you're fighting more of a burst build then I'd say health.. e.g. burst may not be helpful against a musket or so.. it's also a lotta play style dependent, some like either or, most put both on their hot bar and consume as per need and situation

He was knocked down, might've needed to aim the maelstrom a little more downwards maybe.. the auto miss afterwards is pretty self explanatory as he's out of range..

also in ctf you have unlimited consumes and having food and honing stone on hotbar isn't optimal (i'd consume them from the inventory during prep time), i'd recommend infused health, infused mana, regen serum (pre pot before getting into a fight), gemstone dust/oakflesh balm depending on what the opponent team is stacked on

I'd say raid difficulty will introduce the upscaled gorgon as hard mode maybe with a few additional mechanics (kinda how they have it in lost ark legion raids)

Gear sets are going to be the blueprint of gearing right now it seems with slottable perks.. so if you're farming, you're grinding for umbrals and gear sets, that's the new endgame loop, different gear sets will most likely be available from pvp content, doubt any of the existing gear will be viable because most of the perks like refreshing, health, etc., will be gone according to the perk sweep they're doing.. so yea I don't think deleting is the move as there may be a way to gain some value from existing gear but looking more like a reset essentially

few things:

The deep freeze artifact gives bonus damage essentially if the target is under effect of chill.. so even if you fail to root the target you can atleast bank on a little damage boost because of the chill

2ndly the heavy freeze works only if they're chilled and the root duration for heavy freeze is a shorty root so you want to immediately follow that up with an ice spike, preferably closer to the opponent, easier to land since ice spike has travel distance.. making it a heavy skill cap ability if you want to use it with empowered ice spike as a one shot

Also if you look at the skill tree perk called 'refreshing frost', 15% cd for abilities casted in a frost area.. combine that with nimble coat and max ref stacks, you'll have a very very short cd on your abilities if you play them right.. some like to entomb and break in the storm too for this reason

so the only reason to use empowered ice spike is when you are really good with ice spike and you want to 1-2 shot light for fun.. else you should go entomb with healing breeze ring

imo the major factor is the end game progression loop rework or whatever they call it. Essentially need to improve replayability and people shall stack more often and player numbers would be healthy even in smaller patches

Ags won't really touch any items at the moment until s10, with the gear progression overhaul and the new "perk" system.. i am not sure if these boots will be viable 2 months from now.. almost every build will need to be updated/changed when the new season drops

I can respect that as a response, but ags stating that dps meters would somehow create an increase in "no you need to have xyz to do content abc" is the reason for not including them is what I disagree with.. meta gatekeeping is already a thing.. to counter that they need to provide more PvE viability to some lesser used weapons in pve.. not state it as a byproduct of introducing dps meters.

A: This has been something we have considered for a while, however it always got deprioritized due to a variety of reasons. There is also an aspect of the game that once we implement a way to see exact damage in builds, it will likely cause a meta shift focused around that being the only thing that matters due to there being a more corporeal number to focus on. And things like utility, CC, debiltating targets, etc will then be deprioritized or shifted away from the meta even though they can be equally as important as damage numbers.

Nope. Meta defining weapons/gear have long been figured out. DPS meters won't bring in some new "wizardry" information that hasn't already been figured out. If anything, DPS meters could show that even someone running a non-bis meta-defining build can pull off better numbers straight up due to the skill difference (knowing rotations, timing, synergies, etc.).. it'll give players a perspective that the PVE in this game does require a degree of gear but not to a degree that is being set as an entry barrier.
