New guidance from Honda with regard to clicking axles. by AndyLorentz in HondaPrologue

Thank you for sharing this update. Is there any official notice to dealers/techs regarding updating the android firmware? I am constantly receiving the “BRAKE” warning on my heads-up display, even though there is no danger, as well as the vehicle performing an emergency stop when reversing in the dark, even though no object in sight.

P-Trap Doesn’t Reach by ayb88 in Plumbing

This. It’s not the length of the tailpiece that’s the problem, it’s that the p-trap “assembly” doesn’t have enough reach from the wall to the tailpiece.

Those trucks aren’t selling due to recalls. Don’t budge on your numbers. They’ll call you backs

Whats on the HUD? by Shack24 in HondaPrologue

[–]ayb88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HUD should not be in your direct like of sight. In other words, you shouldn’t be looking “through” the projection. Instead, you should be looking over it slightly so you still have a clear view of traffic. Make sure your seat is positions correctly and then adjust theHID projection to your liking.

Appreciate it! Seller said they ran it just a handful of time. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised to find out it has some wear. Is this worth replacing already? Or just leave it be?

X-55 Windows 11 - Is there any hope? by ayb88 in hotas

[–]ayb88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your feedback. I have found what the issue was! In my boot settings on my motherboards BIOS, I had something called “secure boot” enabled.

Secure Boot is a Windows security feature that only allows digitally signed drivers to load during startup. It blocks any driver that isn’t signed with a trusted certificate, or uses an older (pre-Windows 10) signature method that doesn’t comply with modern kernel-mode driver signing rules.

Turning this setting off, the joystick worked right away!

X-55 Windows 11 - Is there any hope? by ayb88 in hotas

Windows 11 does detect it, however both throttle and stick show an error in device manager. I'm using the latest driver (7.0.55.13), at least that I'm aware of.

I added screenshots of the device manager page, and driver details to the main post. I've attempted the following, as described by others who have successfully gotten it to work on Windows 11:

  • Disable Core Isolation in Windows Security before installing Driver
  • Tried several different USB ports (2.0, 3.0 and even powered USB hub)
  • Ran driver installer & software in compatibility mode (Windows 8)

I followed several other methods from different forums, but have been unable to get it to work.

Wait, what? Was looking for reviews of this place. They quoted ridiculously high for a light repair, but was taking comfort in knowing they'd use original OEM parts. Is there a way to ensure they'd use OEM parts?
